Trump calls out Fox News’ Ed Henry for letting lib Jessica Tarlov spew ‘lies’ unchecked

President Donald Trump lashed out Thursday afternoon at Fox News host Ed Henry for not challenging a left-wing FNC contributor who’d smeared him with lies — just as she’d smeared all Trump supporters with lies just last summer.

Look:

Henry had been hosting a discussion on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” when he asked left-wing contributor Jessica Tarlov how she suspects the Democrats’ recent bout of lousy behavior will play out with the American people.

“Jessica, you got the Democrats, who talked about police reform, Tim Scott and the Republicans come with a serious effort, you might not like every detail, but they put it out there, and the Democrats blocked the debate,” he said.

That they did indeed,  much to Sen. Tim Scott’s dismay.

“Meanwhile, you’ve got monuments and statues coming down, Democrat mayors and governors not saying a whole lot about that. How do you think that plays out in the middle of the country?” Henry added.

Watch how Tarlov responded below:

She replied by arguing that, judging by recent polls and surveys, Democrats appear to be benefiting politically from all the madness. But that wasn’t what angered the president. It was the repeat lies that she added to her spiel.

“It seems based on the surveys that have been taken out that it’s been playing out in Democrats’ favor,” she began. “The vast majority of Americans are on the side of the protesters.

Protesters? But what do protests have to do with Black Lives Matter extremists/rioters tearing down America’s historical monuments? Nothing, yet liberal Democrats like Tarlov love to conflate the two by acting as if rioters are the same as “peaceful protesters.”

They had a negative reaction to the way that President Donald Trump has handled the racial injustice crisis in this country,” she continued.

His speech, before he went out through Lafayette Park and when they tear-gassed peaceful protesters that were there so he could have a photo-op in front of a church holding a Bible upside down, went terribly for him, and the American people see through it.”

Everything she said was a lie.

There’s no “racial injustice crisis” in America. There’s a highly dangerous, volatile left-wing extremism crisis — a “Jacobin Moment,” as The Wall Street Journal has dubbed it — that’s being propped up by the “liberal establishment.”

Second, no “peaceful protesters” were ever tear-gassed. According to the U.S. Park Police, unruly rioters who’d been “throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids” were dealt with via smoke canisters and pepper balls.

Third, the president most certainly never held a Bible upside down.

Of course, Tarlov knew that. She was just trying to make a non-point point — one that’s been repeated ad nauseam by liberal secularists, ironically enough — about how Trump allegedly doesn’t meet the standards of what it takes to be a Christian.

The problem is Henry never called her out. After she finished ranting and raving some more, all that was said was, “Jessica, you are moving away from the question.”

That’s what angered the president. While Tarlov is Henry’s colleague, that doesn’t exempt her from being held accountable for glaring lies.

Unfortunately, however, she had a valid point about the American public. Averages maintained by RealClearPolitics had the president’s approval rating at a low of 42.5 percent as of Thursday. Meanwhile, he was losing by an average of 10 points against presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Meanwhile, a Pew Research Center poll from earlier this month found that a 67 percent majority of all Americans support the Black Lives Matter movement, though this doesn’t mean they necessarily side with the BLM extremists responsible for rioting.

“About six-in-ten U.S. adults say some people taking advantage of the situation to engage in criminal behavior has also been a major contributing factor in the protests,” the Pew Research Center noted.

The bottom line is that the president is indeed struggling and will have to work harder than originally expected to secure victory come November — especially given how comfortable left-winge operatives like Tarlov are with smearing him.
