The look on Obama’s face speaks volumes about how Biden’s virtual fundraiser went

Former President Barack Hussein Obama and his vice president, current presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, sat Tuesday for an online fundraiser that wound up generating widespread attention for all the wrong reasons.

Among the estimated 120,000 who reportedly logged into the discussion were conservatives eager to find anything that would make Biden look bad, and judging by some of the content that’s gone viral since, they’ve achieved their mission.

One clip in particular appeared to show Biden babbling incoherently as Obama stared back at him with a look of pure befuddlement on his face.

Watch:

While the clip above has been cropped and therefore shows Biden speaking out of context, it does seem he was describing things that need to be accomplished if he’s elected president.

He needs to address “disruptive impacts of technology, strengthen the global health security, stop, stop the cold war future that we’re talking about. We’re talking about a peaceful cold war. What are we talking about?” he seemed to be saying.

Good question …

It’s the part about a “cold war future” and “peaceful cold war” that left some confused and triggered the usual dose of mockery and derision from critics.

Look:

Other than for the look on Obama’s face as Biden spoke, the incident above wasn’t that particularly notable. After all, even articulate people often speak in a choppy manner.

Far more glaring was another clip that showed the former vice president repeating a mistake he’d already made a month ago.

During a mid-May interview on MSNBC, host Lawrence O’Donnell played a pre-recorded clip of viewers asking Biden questions. Nothing odd about that, right? But strangely enough, as the clip began to air, the former VP started conversing with it.

Watch:

Yet a month later, Biden was seen Tuesday repeating the same error.

Watch:

Clips like these seem to be far more telling of Biden’s cognitive decline — a decline that members of the mainstream establishment press have been loath to acknowledge.

As noted last week by Joe Rogan, the most popular podcast host in America, “The news media on the left has completely ignored all of these Biden speeches that clearly show some sort of kind of cognitive decline.”

“Sometimes people get really tongue-tied, and panic under pressure, and words come out all f—ed up,” he added. “That is possible. But there’s a trend.”

“And if you go back to when he was a younger man, that trend didn’t exist. You’re seeing a change. And the idea that as you get older, you become less comfortable with the media, less comfortable with speaking publicly, that doesn’t jive with me. That doesn’t make any sense.”

While the media have been in denial over Biden’s mental state, Democrats have reportedly not been.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” early Monday morning, Joe Concha of The Hill reportedly claimed Democrats are fully aware — and concerned.

“A lot of Democrats will tell you, at least privately, that he does not have the mental acuity that he even had a couple of years ago and this is a candidate that simply would not able to withstand the type of press conferences that the current president has, as far as them going on for an hour, an hour and a half, taking questions with multiple outlets with no ground rules attached,” he said.

“It’s a lot easier … to have, say, a handpicked interview, where you have ground rules for interviews, with certain outlets that may be friendly to your candidate, as opposed to having a press conference, which Mr. Biden has not done for 80 days.”
