Seattle’s police-free zone will be dismantled after three shootings and a surge in violence left a black teenager dead and another person hospitalized in critical condition.
Democrat mayor Jenny Durkan said the escalating violence in the police-free CHOP zone (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest) is overshadowing the “social justice” purportedly being sought by Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs who hijacked the zone two weeks ago.
“The cumulative impacts of the gatherings and protests and the nighttime atmosphere and violence has led to increasingly difficult circumstances for our businesses and residents,” Durkan said at a press conference. “The impacts have increased and the safety has decreased.”
Durkan also said Seattle should not have any areas that ban police and fire departments because this endangers public safety.
This contradicts Durkan’s prior cheerleading of the police-free CHOP zone, which she gleefully called a “summer of love.” But a black teenager being shot to death by CHOP thugs made the scales fall from her eyes.
Mayor Durkan said: “There should be no place in Seattle that the Seattle Fire Department and the Seattle Police Department can’t go.”
After 19-year-old black youth Horace Alonzo Anderson was shot to death, CHOP thugs refused to allow police into the zone to help him.

Jenny Durkan was widely criticized for coddling the Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs who forcefully took over the CHOP zone for two weeks.
During this time, public property was vandalized and many small businesses were forced to close because their customers were afraid to come to their stores thanks to roving CHOP mobs. Many small businesses also said they were being extorted by CHOP thugs.
Journalist Andy Ngo posted a chilling video of the street fight that reportedly precipitated the June 20 shooting at CHOP.
Keep in mind that the left-wing media repeatedly insisted that the CHOP protests were peaceful, like a “street festival.”

Ngo also reported that another teenager who was hospitalized after being shot on Sunday refuses to speak with the police.
Ngo tweeted: “Witnesses of the shooting are also not speaking and are discouraged (intimidated) from doing so.”

Black Lives Matter and Antifa “protesters” claim they launched their nationwide riots and looting based on the false narrative that there are countless racist white cops who are hunting down black men.
In reality, statistics show that black men are more likely to be shot by black cops. Similarly, white suspects are more likely to be shot by white cops.
Interracial crime statistics also show that there is far more black-on-white violent crime than white-on-black assaults.
Conservative commentator Larry Elder said Black Lives Matter is fomenting racial resentment as part of a Marxist agenda to “transfer property from white people to black people.”
“This is all about transferring property from white people to black people,” Elder told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “It’s the same premise as slavery reparations: The extraction of property and money from people who were never slave owners to be given to people who were never slaves. The whole thing is ridiculous.”
Elder said even if we could wipe out all racism in America, that wouldn’t solve the longstanding problems plaguing the black community. Why? Because its problems stem from within.
“Let’s suppose that we came up with a vaccine to get rid of racism in America,” Elder said. “Will we still have 70% of black kids being raised without fathers? Would we still have a 50% urban high school dropout rate in some cities? Would there still be 25% of young black men having criminal records? If that’s true, then the elimination of ‘white racism’ is not going to solve the problem.”

Larry Elder continued: “The problem is the proliferation of children having children, of unwed fathers in our homes. Seventy percent of black kids are now raised without fathers. Barack Obama said a kid raised without a father is five times more likely to be poor and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of school, and 20 times more likely to end up in jail. This is far and away the biggest problem facing America. The eradication of ‘white racism’ will not solve these problems.”
