President Donald Trump noted during his rally in Tulsa, Okla., Saturday night that a number of Democrat-run cities including Seattle continue to suffer mass protests and remain under siege by Left-wing activists, but that he won’t interfere with federal law enforcement or the military.
“How about Seattle, isn’t that great?” Trump began to howls and boos from the crowd. “So they take over a big chunk of a city called Seattle. I mean, we’re not talking about some little place, we’re talking about Seattle.
At the Tulsa, OK rally @realDonaldTrump says he could help Seattle on CHOP "in one hour or less" if asked.

“They took over a big chunk, and the governor [Democrat Jay Inslee] who’s radical Left…all of these places I talk about are Democrat, you know that, every one of them,” the president continued.
“And I have an offer out, I said anytime you want we’ll come in, we’ll straighten it out in one hour or less,” Trump said. “Now, I may be wrong, but it’s probably better for us to just watch that disaster.”
As CHOP remains in place, and demonstrators and vandals around the country continue to tear down statues and deface taxpayer-supported monuments in cities from Portland and San Francisco to Washington, D.C., calls for the president to intervene are growing in many sectors.
During a segment on his top-rated prime-time cable news program earlier this week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson lambasted Republicans for being AWOL as Democrats hijack the “Black Lives Matter” movement and exert newfound political power.
“Since the day Donald Trump was inaugurated, the Democratic Party has been helplessly disorganized and totally ineffective as a political party,” Carlson began Friday.

“These people couldn’t organize your kid’s birthday party, they didn’t make their beds this morning. And yet suddenly out of nowhere, they roared back and took over the country,” he added, noting that they have managed to accomplish this because “nobody stopped them, there was no opposition to their power grab.”
“The other side surrendered on day one without a fight. The rest of us watched all of this with our jaws hanging open in shock, it was the opposite of what we expected. Millions of people who regularly vote for the Republican Party precisely because they would like someone to protect this country from the crazed ideologues who seek to destroy it,” Carlson said. “But when the moment of crisis came, Republicans ran away.”
Another Fox News host, Lisa Boothe, also blasted a “lack of leadership” in the country for allowing monuments and statues to be destroyed and defaced.
“How much of a coward do you have to be to allow this to happen in your city? The lack of leadership across the country is astounding,” she wrote on Twitter Friday.
But not all analysts and politicos agree that Trump should be the one to intervene.
In a Friday column, retired U.S. Army Col. Kurt Schlichter, now a prominent Los Angeles trial lawyer, wrote that he believes the Left is engaged in an “information warfare” operation to discourage Republican voters and Trump supporters ahead of the November elections, with an eye convincing them to believe they are ‘defeated’ so they’ll stay away from the polls.
He also believes the Left is attempting to bait the president into overreacting with federal force.
“It’s certainly frustrating to watch a pack of reeking leftist scumbags declare a portion of an American city an “autonomous zone” – what is it with Democrats and their secession fetish? – but do not get frustrated because Donald Trump has not sent the 101st Airborne in to powerwash the human grunge from Seattle’s feces-bedecked streets,” he wrote at Townhall.
“That’s what the Democrats want. And Trump – a better strategic thinker than all the media geniuses, hack politicians, and Afghan War-losing generals who cry about him – is not only not going to give them the victory they crave. He’s going to jam their cheesy plan down their throats.”
For his part, the president told The Daily Caller this week he has no plans to send troops to restore order in Seattle, preferring instead to let the situation play out for local officials to deal with.
“When I watch, it’s showing how bad that city-system of government is because they’re all leftist Democrats running all these places that have these problems,” the president said.
“Seattle’s a disaster. Minneapolis has been a disaster, and you know if I didn’t strongly tell them, ‘get the National Guard in there,’ Minneapolis would still be under siege,” he added.
