Massachusetts police chief ‘disgraces himself,’ lies face down on pavement to appease chanting protesters

The longer the George Floyd protests drag out — it’s been twelve days and running — the more ridiculous the exercise becomes.

With young people seemingly protesting for the sake of protesting, an example of how foolish things are getting was seen from a police chief in Massachusetts, who decided to play along with the crowd’s demand for subjugation.

The initial demand was for justice for Floyd — just before the black man died, a white Minneapolis police officer was captured on video pinning him to the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck.

Since the incident first exploded on the American scene, the four officers involved in the incident have been fired and face serious legal charges. Derek Chauvin, the fired cop with his knee on Floyd’s neck has been charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter.

Aside from calls for justice, another demand of late is to defund police departments, a move that will hurt low-income minority communities most. Emasculating police is a clear goal for left-wing radicals, who have hijacked the Floyd protests for political gain.

And that’s where Webster Police Chief Michael Shaw comes into play.

With the liberal media having succeeded in establishing as fact that race-based police brutality is rampant in America, even though recent statistics fail to support the claim, protesters are expecting law enforcement to prostrate themselves before the black community as a means of atonement.

Shaw was happy to oblige, laying face down before protesters with his hands behind his back — the left called it “an incredible powerful moment.”

The reaction to the police chief was swift, as seen from nationally syndicated radio talk show host John Cardillo, a former NYPD officer who reminded Shaw that many in the crowd may “want to kill him.”

Cardillo tweeted: “Chief Michael Shaw of the Webster, MA PD disgraced himself by surrendering to those who want to kill him and laying face down on the filthy sidewalk as they demanded.”

With white liberals repenting for being white and participating in cult-like events to make a groveling pledge of allegiance to black people, it’s entirely possible that we’ve jumped the shark here.

Needless to say, social media users were not impressed with the police chief’s display of weakness. Here’s a sampling of the responses to the story from Twitter:
