‘They got guns!’ Rioters quickly lose sweet tooth after Italian bakery owners greet them with firearms

As violent left-wing mobs exploit the death of George Floyd to bring their dreams of revolution to the streets of America, where police officers have been rendered all but impotent by progressive policing tactics ushered in by liberals, a remarkable video out of Cleveland is making the rounds.

With troubling videos of shop owners trying to protect their businesses from rioters with little more than their bare hands getting beaten to a bloody pulp, a bakery in the city of Cleveland responded with superior firepower.

And prevailed.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson issue an 8 p.m. curfew and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine activated the National Guard to come to the city at Jackson’s request after protesters turned violent and set out to loot the city.

A family-owned Italian bakery named Corbo’s opted to provide their own protection, in the form of several heavily armed men.

With rioters smashing windows right next door, a man stood in the doorway of the bakery brandishing a shotgun — the look on the man’s face making it clear that he meant business.

After facing down the half-dozen or so “protesters,” with two others backing him up, the mob quickly lost interest in sweets, slinking away to wreak havoc elsewhere.

“They got guns in there,” a dejected rioter is heard saying, as the crowd dissipated.

The hardworking business owners were set to reopen the bakery on Monday after being closed for more than 2 hard months due to the coronavirus — the reopening is now delayed due to political opportunists.

In another video shared on Twitter, a protester is heard saying to the men standing guard at the bakery, “You’ve got insurance, right?”

With truth being the first casualty in a riot — the low-information mob was heard chanting the lie known as “hands up, don’t shoot”  — the bakery took to its Facebook page later to dispel false allegations.

“We are being threatened now! Just to be clear we never called a name or a racial slur! We didn’t threaten anyone! We just protected r business!” the post read.

The rioters reportedly returned with reinforcements and shattered the bakery’s front windows, but they did not appear to gain entry into the shop.

Events over the past several days will do more to ensure the survival of the Second Amendment than the National Rifle Association could hope for, as Americans get a first-hand lesson on the reality that you cannot depend on cops to be there when you need them.

When violent thugs take to the streets in the numbers seen over the weekend, set on mayhem and destruction, attacking police and burning precinct headquarters to the ground, average Americans are left to their own devices.

Unless you are armed and trained on how to use a firearm, you don’t much stand a chance against a violent throng that will take joy in beating you to death. And while there is no guarantee if you are, the odds shift considerably in your favor.
