President Donald Trump expressed solidarity with “every American seeking justice and peace” in response to the death of George Floyd, a black man who died following an encounter with Minneapolis police, with a white officer seen pinning Floyd down with a knee to his neck.

Despite that officer, Derek Chauvin, being fired and subsequently arrested for third-degree murder and manslaughter, the streets of America have erupted in ugly, violent anti-cop riots that seen numerous businesses go up in flames.

With business owners who have often worked all their lives and spent all they have to get their endeavors up and running paying a steep price, a troubling scene played out Saturday night in Dallas, Texas.

Actor James Woods tweeted a video capturing a Dallas shopkeeper trying to protect his business being severely beaten in the street.

Woods added a single word: “Savages.”

The man, who was reportedly armed with a sword, is set up by about a dozen people and is beaten and stomped repeatedly. At one point, a coward is seen running up and viciously striking the defenseless man in the head with a skateboard, as he lies in the street.

The man appeared to survive the attack, as seen in a tweet from Blaze TV’s Elijah Schaffer, though his injuries are no known — Schaffer had posted the video above.

In a full, unedited version of the video, Schaffer clarified that he cannot confirm the man owned the shop he was trying to protect — as seen in the clip, the man made an ill-advised offensive move, running at the rioters with the sword above his head.

“I cannot confirm he was the store owner, but I pulled out my camera when I saw him appearing to defend a store, then he was rushed, then made the move that might have cost him his life.”

Schaffer also tweeted that the riots seen in Dallas were “pre-planned.”

He noted that there were organizers directing people and that a pallet of bricks was made available.

Speaking from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Saturday, after the launch of two astronauts into space, Trump denounced “Antifa and other radical left-wing groups” exploiting Floyd’s death, which he called “a grave tragedy” that “should have never happened.”

“The violence and vandalism is being led by Antifa and other radical left-wing groups who are terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses, and burning down buildings,” the president said.

He also insisted the violence will be stopped.

“In America, justice is never achieved at the hands of an angry mob,” Trump said. “I will not allow angry mobs to dominate.”
