Heads explode when Van Jones suggests ‘liberal Hillary supporters’ are the folks black people need to worry about

CNN political commentator Van Jones has stepped in it again with his penchant for sometimes being a little too honest — if he’s not careful, Jones may lose his gig at the liberal network.

Jones did not mince words in talking about the troublesome death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, calling what happened “a lynching,” but he warned black people it’s not the Ku Klux Klan they have to worry about, but the “white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter.”

“You know, we’ve seen a curtain pulled back,” Jones said Friday on CNN’s “New Day.”

Falling back on the incident earlier this week when a white woman in Central Park called the police and said a black man who took exception to her violating a leash law was threatening her life, Jones added a little perceptive that was not popular on the left.

“It’s not the racist white person who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about,” he insisted. “It’s the white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park who would tell you right now, you know, people like that – ‘oh, I don’t see race, race is no big deal to me, I see us all as the same, I give to charities.'”

“But the minute she sees a black man who she does not respect or who she has a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been trained by the Aryan Nation,” he said.

Still a skilled liberal propagandist, Jones married critical race theory, which denotes that all white people are inherently racist, with the coronavirus in making his point.

“A Klans member could not have been better trained to pick up the phone and tell the police it’s a black man, African-American man, come get him,” he added. “So even the most liberal, well-intentioned white person has a virus in his or her brain that can be activated at an instant.

“And so what you’re seeing now is a curtain falling away. And those of us who have been burdened by this every minute, every second of our entire lives are fragile right now. We are fragile right now. We are tired.”

Interestingly, while commenting on the city of Minneapolis being set ablaze, saying that people “are now fed up,” Jones let slip that professional “provocateurs” may have been deployed to the city.

“And the reason that you see people now doing the things they’re doing — now, we have no idea who set those fires. It could have been provocateurs, it could be anybody — but the reason you see people willing to risk their lives in the middle of a plague and pandemic and to go out and literally risk their lives to protest, is because people are now fed up,” he added later.

The death of Floyd followed on the heels of the incident in New York, and the incident in Georgia, where Ahmaud Arbery, a black man, was killed by a white father and son, remains in the news as well — the two men suspected Arbery of burglary, after he was seen inside a home under construction.

Liberals still haven’t forgiven Jones for saying in 2017 that Donald Trump “became President of the United States” in the moment he honored a Navy SEAL widow at his State of the Union speech.

Here’s a sampling of responses to Friday morning’s remarks:
