President Donald Trump largely sees likely 2020 Democratic opponent Joe Biden as little more than a figurehead, a surrogate fronting for a cabal that represents his real opponent in November, the president’s reelection campaign is still taking the time to dispatch with the former vice president.
(If Biden doesn’t beat them to the punch.)
The Trump campaign launched a faux “investigative” series mocking the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for his many stumbles and gaffes seen on the stump, Fox News reported.
Titled “Truth over Facts,” a phrase that Biden used last August at the Iowa State Fair, in Des Moines — in describing “who we are,” the Democrat inexplicably told fairgoers, “We choose truth over facts” — the video is hosted by communications director Tim Murtaugh,
“Hello and welcome to the first episode of what we call ‘Truth Over Facts,” today we’re examining the curious case of Sleepy Joe and, you know, ‘the thing.'”
The video highlights Biden flubbing the opening of the Declaration of Independence at a campaign stop in Texas.
A not so in-depth investigation endeavors to find out that in referencing “the thing,” whether Biden knows of a second Declaration of Independence that has been hidden all these years.
Upon learning there is not one, Murtaugh teases the next segment, announcing that they’ll “work with a renowned sketch artist, who will reveal who, or what, is a lying dog-faced pony soldier.”
The 77-year-old former vice president is being mocked for “trying to reveal state secrets.”
“The American people deserve to know the truth behind Joe Biden’s delirious and nonsensical claims on the campaign trail,” Murtaugh declared, according to Fox News. “When he’s mangling the text of the Declaration of Independence or calling someone a ‘lying, dog-faced pony soldier,’ is he really speaking a language that only he and a select group of others understand?”
This being a play on the bizarre moment when Biden told a New Hampshire student she was a liar for saying she has been to caucus before.
“No you haven’t,” the candidate snapped. “You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier.”

As for the aforementioned cabal that represents Trump’s real opposition, he took to Twitter on Saturday to say “sleepy Joe Bide” is “not even a factor,” and that he’s really competing against “the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats & their partner, the real opposition party, the Lamestream Fake News Media!”

As seen above, the president was responding to a tweet highlighting past stumbles.
Trump’s reference to “1%” is a slight on Biden’s past performances in the 1988 and 2008 Democratic primaries.
