Anti-Trump zealot Joy Behar of ABC’s “The View” went on a tear Tuesday against Lara Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over McConnell doing the unthinkable and criticizing the left’s savior, former President Barack Hussein Obama.

During a live-stream campaign interview Monday between McConnell and Trump, who serves as an adviser to the 2020 campaign of her uncle, President Donald Trump, the Senate leader bashed Obama for his “classless” decision to trash the Trump administration’s coronavirus response.

In response, Behar practically lost her mind (again).

Listen (disable your adblocker if the video doesn’t appear):

First of all, Lara Trump, take that smug smile off your face, number one!” the unhinged talk-show host bellowed before turning her attention to McConnell.

Mitch McConnell to me is one of the most classless, most unpatriotic, most un-American leaders that we have ever seen, I have ever seen in my lifetime. He goes up against the Constitution on a regular basis.”

Keep in mind that Behar was quick to smear her fellow Americans as “domestic terrorists” last month for the apparent sin of protesting on behalf of their constitutional rights.

She was also quick to flush due process down the toilet when it came to since-debunked allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

FYI, all McConnell had done during the live stream Monday was argue that Obama should have followed the precedent set by his predecessor.

“Generally former presidents just don’t do that,” he said. “I remember that President George W. Bush and his father, went right through eight years of Democrat administrations after they left office and kept their mouths shut, because they didn’t feel it was appropriate for former presidents to even critique a president of another party.”

He added: “So I think President Obama should have kept his mouth shut.”

Behar clearly disagrees.

“He refused to hold a hearing from Merrick Garland, if you recall, which changed the whole country around,” she continued Tuesday.

“He declared that he would make sure Obama was a one-term president. Remember that? He claims that he was not impartial in Trump’s impeachment. Talk about classless. He is an unpatriotic senator, and he needs to be taken out of office in the fall.”

But it wasn’t unconstitutional for him to block Garland’s hearing. Likewise, his desire to make Obama a one-term president pales in comparison to the Democrat Party’s failed plots to do the same to Trump, and the most glaring biased displayed during the president’s impeachment was the bias of the whistleblower whose complaint triggered it.

“Number two, every Bush criticized Trump. Even Barbara Bush said she wouldn’t understand how any woman would ever vote for Donald Trump,” Behar added.

Bush criticized Trump before he became president …

“The View” host then switched to promoting mail-in voting, a dubious voting scheme that’s plagued with pitfalls.

“I am here to say we need to make sure that we have mail-in voting in September,” she said. “In September, The RNC spent $20 million dollars to fight lawsuits over their efforts to limit mail-in voting. Why did they do that? Because as Trump says, if the United States switches to mail-in voting, you’d never have a Republican elected again.”

That’s not true.

“[I]n the states and counties that have transitioned to all-mail voting, there has been little evidence of partisan advantage for either side because of mail voting, said Robert Stein, a Rice University professor who has helped put in place vote-by-mail systems,” the Chicago Tribune reported last month.

The GOP’s opposition to mail-in voting is rooted solely in concerns about voter fraud.

Behar also claimed that Republicans don’t want to bail out the United States Post Office because of their opposition to mail-in voting. That’s just plain false.

Turning their attention to the coronavirus pandemic, Behar and her colleagues then alleged that the Obama administration left a “playbook” on how to deal with pandemics that was ignored by the Trump administration. This, she seemed to suggest, proves the Trump administration’s incompetence, particularly when compared to its predecessor.

She neglected to mention that, like the Trump administration, the Obama administration was far from the perfect entity that leftists view it as.

“The federal government knew about a shortage of protective masks going back to 2009, after the H1N1 virus, but didn’t replenish its supply for the next pandemic, which arrived this year with the highly contagious coronavirus,” The Daily Signal reported back in March.

“H1N1, also known as the swine flu, drew down about 100 million N95 protective respirator masks. Afterward, an H1N1 task force recommended that the Obama administration replace the masks in the national stockpile.”

Fact-check: TRUE.
