As the mainstream media networks continue to ignore Tara Reade, the former staffer who claims then-Sen. Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993, she sat down for a “candid,” “emotional” interview with journalist Megan Kelly.
“MK EXCLUSIVE: Former Biden staffer #TaraReade, who accuses FMR VP #JoeBiden of sexually assaulting her in 1993, sits down w/me in her first on-camera interview since Mr. Biden denied her accusations. Her story & some tough Q’s in a riveting exchange. A ton of news coming,” Kelly wrote on Twitter, according to The Hill’s Joe Concha.
Megyn Kelly tells me that Reade "gets very candid, very emotional and handles many direct challenges to her account" during the exclusive interview.
"She also has a message for former Vice President Biden," per Kelly.

In response to a query from Concha regarding the interview, Kelly said of Reade, “She gets very candid, very emotional, and handles many direct challenges to her account. She also has a message directly for the former vice president.”
Kelly said that clips of the interview will soon be posted to her official Instagram and YouTube pages. Clips will also be released to the various news networks and media outlets prior to her airing the full interview, though it’s unclear, of course, if ‘mainstream’ outlets will bother to publish any of them – especially if they’re damning, as it appears they are.
Megyn Kelly has been landing more big interviews without working for an actual news organization over the past few months than journalists who do this full-time for a living. Think about that: https://t.co/EbUptOZCnT

Last month, Reade accused Biden, the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee and President Obama’s VP, of pushing her up against a wall near the U.S. Capitol Building in 1993, kissing her and putting his fingers inside her against her will after she brought him a gym bag.
When she resisted, she said Biden responded, “C’mon man, I heard you liked me.”
Megyn Kelly having to be the one to interview Tara Reade on YouTube is the best example yet that cable/broadcast news is close to near death. Congrats to all the journos who passed on that just to protect Biden.

Biden told MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski on May 1 that Reade’s allegations are not true.
“Did you sexually assault Tara Reade?” the host asked.
“No, it is not true,” he replied. “I’m saying unequivocally it never, never happened and it didn’t. It never happened.”
But in all, seven people have corroborated Reade’s story. And just last week, a former neighbor said she remembered a discussion with Reade about the alleged assault shortly after it happened. Reade’s brother has also said his sister told him Biden “had his hand under her clothes at some point.”
It’s also exactly why networks didn’t want to interview her. Let Fox do it, or someone like Kelly and now NBC/CBS/ABC/CNN will just write her off as a right wing conspiracy smear. Playbook.

Reade has also claimed to have filed a complaint against Biden and has said she believes an original complaint she says she filed with the Senate human resources office at the time is among Biden’s papers which are being held by the University of Delaware.
Democrats who once claimed then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accusers must be believed on the face of their allegations — even before they were eventually discredited – have also defended Biden.
