Conservative activist Candace Owens has been thrown into Twitter’s infamous Gulag again, this time reportedly for the sin of encouraging the residents of Michigan to violate a series of executive orders passed Thursday by the state’s governor that are so draconian in scope they’ve been rejected by the state’s Republican legislature.
“Apparently @GovWhitmer believes she is a duly elected dictator of a socialist country,” Owens reportedly tweeted early Friday evening, according to a screenshot.
“The people of Michigan need to stand up to her. Open your businesses. Go to work. The police think she’s crazy too. They are not going to arrest 10,000,000 people for going to work.”
The screenshot was provided by Turning Point USA chief creative officer Benny Johnson in a tweet posted late Saturday morning.
Candace Owens has been suspended from Twitter.
Candace tweeted that people in Michigan should go back to work.
What rule did she break?
Not even Twitter can say.

It appears the suspension occurred sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning, and sometime after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ignored lawmakers in the state’s Republican-controlled state legislature and used a trick to expand the state’s lockdown.
“The Republican-led Michigan Legislature refused Thursday to extend the state’s coronavirus emergency declaration and voted to authorize a lawsuit challenging Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s authority and actions to combat the pandemic,” ABC News reported.
“The governor, unfazed, responded with orders stating under one law that an emergency still exists, while declaring a new 28-day state of emergency under another law.”
Though Owens technically encouraged her followers to follow this mandate, the fact that the mandate may be unconstitutional and illegal has some convinced that she shouldn’t have been suspended from Twitter.
I can confirm that @RealCandaceO is now locked out of her account because of this tweet. Are private citizens not allowed to share their thoughts here? And if so, is Twitter acting on behalf of the government?

2019 James gets banned on Twitter for calling people beta males.
2020 Candace gets suspended for telling people to go back to work.
Twitter has a really low threshold if you are not in lockstep with their thinking.

Twitter is fine with radical islamists organizing armed revolutions in its platform but conservatives Americans get banned for even suggesting civil disobedience

What companies like Twitter don’t realize the more they try to silence people the more those people and people that support them will go and vote for Donald Trump. America will not stand for this BULL SHIT end of story.

She’s an intelligent woman who dares to use her mouth for something other than chewing gum. Twitter bigotry is alive and well. All woman should be appalled by them silencing her voice. Twitter is militant and weaponizes the platform based on political bias. It will backfire.

Strange how twitter keeps removing conservative political candidates from their platform…it’s almost as if they are interfering in US elections? I thought that was the most grave sin you could commit according to the left for the last 4 years…

As noted by a few of the critics above, it’s true that Twitter allows real troublemakers — including the Communist Party of China’s propagandists — to operate freely on its platform.
Two years ago, for instance, Twitter sat idly by as members of the left-wing terrorist group Antifa openly and brazenly doxed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and instructed their followers to carry out terror attacks against ICE facilities.
The proof of this was reported by Far Left Watch:
Antifa accounts actively violate @Twitter TOS without consequence.
Not only do they openly encourage people to carry out violence against @ICEgov agents but it appears they also use the platform to disseminate the personal addresses and information of those agents. @Jack? pic.twitter.com/SbPBc8KCo1

We told you about this last week but the accounts and tweets are still live.

Meanwhile, this week Twitter suspended the account of a publicly-traded biotech firm that had the apparent audacity to tweet about a new UV technology.
UPDATE: @Twitter just suspended the account of the publicly traded biotech company AYTU BioScience that created a novel COVID-19 treatment approach utilizing UV light in the lungs that @realDonaldTrump was talking about.
— Mike Coudrey (@MichaelCoudrey) April 26, 2020
The tweet was reportedly removed because the existence of this technology lends credence to the president’s theory that UV light could potentially be used to cure the coronavirus.
