It sure sounds like lifelong Republican Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, is going to vote for family friend and presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
McCain, who says she “loves Biden dearly,” has made no secret of her Never Trump tendencies as the token “conservative” on the highly politicized ABC daytime talk show/shout fest The View.
In a remote appearance on WatchWhat Happens Live with Andy Cohen, which airs on the Bravo network, McCain revealed that she recently had a long conversation with Biden, which parenthetically could have been challenging since Joe has ongoing difficulties completing a coherent thought.
Meghan McCain continued:
“I keep telling everyone I will promise you will know who I’m voting for. But it really shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know there’s one man who has made pain in my life a living hell, and another man who has literally shepherded me through the grief process. This really shouldn’t be rocket science for people…I just think politics is personal.”
McCain acknowledged that she is letting her heart, rather than her head, rule apparently because Biden has been an integral part of her life.
Plus, character is really important to her, although she made no comment about Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations against Biden, Barack Obama’s vice president.
She also claimed the Trumps are “always making my mom [Cindy McCain] cry.”

Never Trumpers seem incapable of putting personality aside and acknowledge that Trump, even given his sometimes abrasive demeanor, has actually implemented a conservative agenda that that these self-styled principled Republicans supposedly championed throughout their careers.
They are fundamentally and selfishly unable to elevate what’s best for the country over their feuds. Or perhaps the Never Trump thing is a way to cash in on media gigs.
Some Never Trumpers are publicly backing Biden, even though Sleepy Joe’s puppet masters will seek to implement a far-left agenda should Biden make it to the White House.
Moreover, Trump has uniquely delivered on many of his campaign promises, which other presidents have abandoned upon taking office.
Hard feelings obviously persist between the McCain family and President Trump.
Trump made a crass, wholly inappropriate joke, if you call it that, about Meghan’s beloved father, a brave POW who was tortured in the Hanoi Hilton, not being a war hero, and that he preferred people who “weren’t captured.”
Trump was also highly and legitimately critical of the senator for withholding the crucial vote for a full Obamacare repeal at the 11th hour, despite McCain campaigning against the Affordable Care Act.
Since then, however, the Trump administration has managed to incrementally eliminate some of the law’s most onerous provisions.
During the same program, failed presidential candidate and Russia-hoax promoter Eric Swalwell, a California congressman, walked back his prior assertion that Joe Biden is too old to effectively serve as president. “I think we need a seasoned hand right now,” Swalwell claimed.
