An uncomfortable House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spent roughly 10 minutes this Sunday morning on CNN, much of it stammering over her words, telling host Jake Tapper to “just calm down,” misrepresenting the president’s China travel ban and telling lies.
To some critics, the entire interview appeared to be a “hot mess.”
Watch it in full below, or look underneath for the highlights:
About halfway through the interview, Pelosi tried to tell Tapper how “spectacular” she believes California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been amid the coronavirus pandemic.
However, it took her nearly five full seconds to just say Newsom’s name.
What just happened to Nancy Pelosi? Did she pull a Biden and forget Gavin Newsom’s name… or? pic.twitter.com/ctZGycIiAG

The remarkable clip, which was eerily similar to the clips circulating of presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, 77, repeatedly stammering over his words, inspired some concerns and questions from social media critics about Pelosi, 80.
She and Biden both belong in a home. It’s a dangerous world out there so we need politicians that are at the top of their game.

Underneath the facelift, makeup & hair dye, she is just another career politician who loves power and refuses to let it go. Like @JoeBiden , It is obvious @SpeakerPelosi does not have the mental clarity to be working anymore. #TermLimits

Probably just more drunk than normal. Don’t worry, despite coming in second in a “most despised politician” she’ll miraculously stay in office and we get to watch her slide downhill right next to Joe.

@SpeakerPelosi‘s bandannas are hiding a recent surgery scar.
The #MSM seems uninterested in investigating whether it was an elective surgery or not.
She is not fully recovered.
Her mental state is definitely affected.

A bit earlier in the interview, the House speaker grew annoyed after Tapper began questioning her about her caucus’s reported “failure” at including local and state funding in the first emergency coronavirus relief bill that was passed last month.
At one point, Pelosi angrily replied, “Just calm down!”

In response to her rudeness, the public pounced.

She is so f*cking patronizing.

I can almost hear her muttering “Insolent peasant!” under her breath.

If same statement were said back to Pelosi, she’s say it was sexist and that no one says that to a man.

Speaking about President Donald Trump’s China travel ban, the speaker acted as if his successful attempt to stymie the coronavirus’ spread had failed.
“Tens of thousands of people were still allowed in from China. It wasn’t as it is described as this great moment. … If you’re going to shut the door because you have an evaluation of an epidemic, then shut the door,” she said.

According to Donald Trump Jr. and other critics, what she neglected to mention was that the tens of thousands of people who were still allowed in from China were American citizens who were trying to return home.
What Nancy Pelosi is neglecting to tell you is that most of these people were American citizens stranded abroad! Would be nice if CNN mentioned those minor details but we know that’s not happening.
Fitting for Nancy since she seems to fight for everyone but American citizens. https://t.co/THLKd8PO8a

Nancy is angry that POTUS didn’t “shut the door” on Americans stranded abroad during a global pandemic but she wants to open our southern border to illegals. https://t.co/PdBycGsmCk

Nancy Pelosi wanted Trump to keep American citizens from entering the country?

During another appearance on TV this Sunday morning, Pelosi said this:
.@SpeakerPelosi calls for release of federal prisoners: “In our caucus, we are very devoted to the Gospel of Matthew; ‘When I was hungry, you fed me, when I was homeless, you sheltered me, when I was imprisoned, you visited me.’ And so this for us is a part of our value system.” pic.twitter.com/GGN7F6llQU
