Former CIA officer accuses highly ‘politicized’ John Brennan of cooking the books to favor Hillary Clinton

Obama CIA Director John Brennan, who might be considered the “governor” of the anti-Trump Deep State, allegedly buried evidence that the Russian government actually preferred Democrat Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 presidential election while pushing substandard, low-quality information that Moscow favored the Republican standard-bearer.

That is the conclusion of former CIA officer and National Security Council chief of staff Fred Fleitz, who described Brennan as “the most politicized intelligence chief in American history.”

In a Fox News Op-Ed, Fleitz was reacting to the much-publicized Tuesday release of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Committee bipartisan report that backed the premise first raised in a 2017 intelligence assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his operatives tried to help Trump win the White House.

The House Intelligence Committee, then under U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes when the GOP was in charge of the chamber, generally determined that the intelligence community instead manipulated evidence to undermine the Trump presidency.

Based on what he learned from House staffers, Fleitz argues that Brennan and his cronies were allegedly gaming the system:

“With the 14 other intelligence agencies left out, the three participating agencies (CIA, NSA, and FBI) included only two dozen ‘handpicked’ analysts…In addition, House Intelligence Committee staff revealed the actual drafting of the intelligence community assessment was done by three close associates of former CIA Director Brennan, who has proven to be the most politicized intelligence chief in American history.”

Fleitz continued discussing how Brennan allegedly cooked the books and used improper “analytic tradecraft” as the term is known in the intelligence community:

“House Intelligence Committee staff members…told me there was conflicting intelligence evidence on Russian motivations for meddling in the 2016 election. More gravely, they said that CIA Director Brennan suppressed facts or analysis that showed why it was not in Russia’s interests to support Trump and why Putin stood to benefit from Hillary Clinton’s election. They also told me that Brennan suppressed that intelligence over the objections of CIA analysts.”

“House Intelligence Committee staff told me that after an exhaustive investigation reviewing intelligence and interviewing intelligence officers, they found that Brennan suppressed high-quality intelligence suggesting that Putin actually wanted the more predictable and malleable Clinton to win the 2016 election.”

GOP Sen. Richard Burr chairs the apparently misnamed Senate Intelligence Committee, but many believe that he functions as an absentee landlord, for whatever reason letting the Democrats run the show and continue to push the fake Russian collusion narrative. Burr is also under an ethics probe for possible insider trading.

Since leaving the federal government, John Brennan has spent a lot of time on CNN and MSNBC, as well as on social media, bashing Trump while clinging to the Russia collusion delusion.

In an August 2018 tweet, President Trump described John Brennan as “easily the worst” CIA director in history.

On behalf of Attorney General William Barr, U.S. Attorney John Durham is currently conducting an investigation into the origins of the investigation into the Trump campaign, which was based, in part, on a dossier containing Russian-sourced disinformation.
