As if New York City didn’t already have a problem with its rat population, Mayor Bill de Blasio took care to ensure that it got a lot bigger.
The hard-left Democrat appealed to New Yorkers on Saturday to rat out neighbors for social distancing violations after tips to a snitch line he had set up fell off, according to the New York Post.
How do you report places that aren’t enforcing social distancing? It’s simple: just snap a photo and text it to 311-692. #AskMyMayor pic.twitter.com/WQdCcVf1Rl

Ensuring potential rats that it was “easier than ever” to snitch, the city went to great lengths to simplify the process, and the appeal worked in one regard.
In another, it backfired spectacularly.
The Post reported that before Saturday, the daily complaints about people violating social distancing guidelines ranged from a low of 262 to a high of 963. Then, in one day, the number skyrocketed to 1,305 complaints.
Overall, New York Police Department statistics show cops “made 19 arrests, issued 143 summonses and handed out 221 fines in connection with alleged violations of social distancing rules from March 17 through Monday,” the Post reported.
However, the increase in tips included a flood of crank complaints, to include “d*ck pics,” people flipping the bird, and some reporting the mayor himself!
Not sure what it is about New Yorkers and penis photos, however, we’re talking about real actual photos:

An NYPD source said that “dick pic” photos of real penises have also been texted to 311, and a caller phoned in a tip that de Blasio was seen performing oral sex on someone “in an alleyway behind a 7-11” early Sunday.
“He looked at me…and coofed in my direction,” the caller said, according to a photo of the 311 operator’s computer screen provided to The Post.

Any of your well publicized photo-ops would apply, like this one from yesterday, which showed a social distancing failure. The video you posted was even worse. @nyc311 pic.twitter.com/6lOsZ7TjIz
