A tweet by radical leftist Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has surfaced from before her time in the governor’s mansion that shows her commitment to killing unborn babies is a passion that runs deep. Her disdain for conservatives was also on display, given the aped MAGA-style hat she was pictured wearing.

On Thursday, Whitmer–reportedly a candidate to be Joe Biden’s running mate later this year–earned every bit of the outrage that followed when she declared on a podcast interview that abortions are “life sustaining.”
During David Axelrod’s Axe Files podcast she proudly noted that under her leadership, Michigan has put a hold on all elective surgeries, but has maintained ongoing access to abortions in the state. “We stopped elective surgeries here in Michigan,” she said. “Some people have tried to say that that type of a procedure [abortion] is considered the same and that’s ridiculous. A woman’s healthcare, her whole future, her ability to decide if and when she starts a family is not an election, it is a fundamental to her life,” said Whitmer. “It is life sustaining and it’s something that government should not be getting in the middle of.”

Whitmer has seen fit to oppressively wield her power during the coronavirus pandemic in abusive ways over the people of Michigan, to include the banning of the purchase of seeds and American flags among other things, as well as prohibiting citizens from using their motor boats and vacation homes. But abortions have remained on the table and encouraged by Planned Parenthood and the governor of the state.
Planned Parenthood Fights to Continue Their Lucrative Business Operations through the Pandemic
The issue of unrestrained continuation of abortions through the pandemic’s social distancing efforts is a battle being fought across the country in many states.
According to CNA, eight states have temporarily banned abortion procedures as part of the wide-ranging restrictions put in place to combat the spread of COVID-19, though liberal judges have intervened to allow abortions to continue in some of their jurisdictions. CNA reported:
Judges have so far intervened to allow abortions in some form in Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Iowa, Louisiana, and Tennessee, after the leaders of those states attempted to classify elective abortions as non-essential procedures.
In Texas, the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled Monday that the state’s ban on elective abortions, including medical abortions, can be reinstated. This decision reversed a lower court’s decision, and that of one of its own panels.
In Iowa, abortion advocates had filed a lawsuit against the state’s order, but reached an agreement with the state outside of court before the lawsuit could progress.
In Alaska, a move by state officials to “delay” abortions until June has not been legally challenged; and in Mississippi, the state’s order banning all “elective” medical procedures also has not been challenged. Louisiana’s order to stop elective abortions is facing a lawsuit but has not been blocked.
Planned Parenthood and other abortion advocates are funding the legal challenges to states’ temporary abortion restrictions.
In an ad last week, the National Abortion Rights and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) attacked the Trump administration for encouraging an effort to use the pandemic as an excuse to save unborn children.
A new ad from the abortion rights group NARAL accuses President Trump and his allies of putting “ideology over science” — and using the pandemic as a pretext to “roll back the clock” on reproductive rights. https://t.co/9PzqeHX0BV

Responding to the NARAL ad, Tim Murtaugh, Trump campaign communications director said: “President Trump is the most pro-life president in American history … It’s disgusting, but not surprising, that the extreme abortion lobby would try to use a global health crisis to promote the killing of unborn children.”
So if I have cancer I can’t have a elective surgery to remove a tumor
But if some broad gets knocked up its “life sustaining” to murder a baby
Makes sense 🤦🏻♂️— XUboston (@bostonxu18) April 17, 2020

She doesn’t care. She’s trying out for Joe’s VP. Doesn’t matter what trimester, to her and the left, babies are nonessential.
