Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (aka – the Bronx Bolshevik) deleted a tone-deaf tweet where she gleefully celebrated the collapse in oil prices and accompanying job losses for the industry.
More than one million jobs in the oilfield-service industry will likely be cut in 2020 thanks to plunging demand caused by the coronavirus shutdowns, according to research firm Rystad Energy.
AOC was reacting after oil futures tumbled below zero. The self-proclaimed socialist then made a push for her widely-mocked, $93 trillion Green New Deal.
“You absolutely love to see it,” AOC cooed after oil prices cratered. “It’s the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet.”
Ocasio Cortez thinks NOW (when millions of Americans have lost their jobs) is the ideal moment to make massive investments in high-priced “green infrastructure.”
When Bernie Sanders’ communications director replied on Twitter: “Like some kind of New Deal?,” AOC crowed, “Great idea!”
After deleting her original tweet, Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down by insisting that the collapse in oil prices is “a turning point in the Climate Movement.”
Ironically, AOC urged the United States to invest billions in expensive “green infrastructure” shortly after she opposed an interim coronavirus relief package to help struggling Americans.
The “Bronx Bolshevik” explained why she’s rejecting relief aid for unemployed Americans while championing her overpriced Green New Deal:

One guy pointed out the absurdity of AOC’s shocking tweet, writing: “People’s livelihoods and savings are being wiped out. Why would anyone take money THEY DON’T HAVE and invest in more expensive energy? Seriously, where the f**k did you get your econ degree?”

Like Democrat Nancy Pelosi, AOC is exploiting the coronavirus crisis to blackmail Congress by holding relief aid hostage until they can negotiate for additional money for leftist causes.
A Republican bill would provide an additional $310 billion into a loan program for small businesses. Democrats blocked it, even though small businesses (which comprise 99% of businesses in the United States) are getting decimated by the coronavirus shutdowns.
Nancy Pelosi reacted by bragging about her stash of gourmet ice cream in her $24,000 refrigerator.
Like other members of Congress, Pelosi is enjoying a taxpayer-funded vacation at home until May 4 — in the middle of an unprecedented health and economic crisis.

As it is, few people take Ocasio-Cortez’s social-media rants seriously. Last month, AOC urged all Americans to eat at Chinese restaurants amid the coronavirus outbreak. If you don’t do that, she said you were a racist.
Shortly after AOC made the dangerous suggestion, New York was declared the coronavirus epicenter of the United States.
