Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz trolled Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Twitter after her tone-deaf video bragging about her massive stockpile of fancy ice cream, which she stores in her $24,000 refrigerator.
Rubio tweeted in a cheeky video: “So I hear Speaker Pelosi really likes ice cream? Here is what I am willing to do if she will stop holding aid for Small Business hostage.”
Senator Rubio then tempted Pelosi with a package of M&M ice cream, saying: “I will give you all the ice cream I have in here, Madam Speaker, if you will fund small business and stop holding it hostage. All of this right here. These M&M’s. Make it happen.”
Ted Cruz chimed in on Twitter: “Excellent idea! I’ll throw in all the Chunky Soup she can eat!”

Marco Rubio was responding after Democrats blocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s request for more aid for small businesses, calling it a “political stunt.”
The Republican bill would have provided an additional $250 billion in a loan program for small businesses. Democrats blocked it, even though small businesses (which comprise 99% of businesses in the United States) are getting destroyed by the coronavirus shutdowns.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee released a statement blasting Democrats for blocking aid:
“16.6 million Americans have filed for unemployment in less than a month and Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats refuse to stop playing partisan games with critical small business relief.
To once again threaten our job creators over a liberal wish list is an outrageous dereliction of duty at a time when people’s livelihoods are at stake. Every Senate Democrat owns this failure to act.”
President Trump has urged Congress to return to Washington to do their jobs. Shockingly, Congress is in a taxpayer-funded recess until May 4 despite a national health and economic crisis.
Even Democrats are pushing Nancy Pelosi to get back to work.

While millions of unemployed Americans are lining up at food banks to feed their families, Pelosi did a gleeful interview in front of her $24,000 refrigerator with talk show host James Corden.
During the tone-deaf interview, the multi-millionaire whined that she’s enduring this crisis by stuffing her face with $13-a-pint ice cream.

Shortly afterward, Speaker Pelosi did another interview with MSNBC, where she repeatedly blamed President Trump for the coronavirus outbreak.
“The situation we’re in is largely of his making,” Pelosi groused.

Flashback: On February 24 — a month after President Trump instituted a travel ban on China to stem the spread of COVID-19, Nancy Pelosi urged Californians to flood their local Chinatowns to defy Trump’s assertions that the coronavirus was a health threat.
Pelosi also attacked Trump as a racist for imposing the ban and for referring to COVID-19 as the Wuhan coronavirus.

China expert Gordon Chang said it is not racist to call COVID-19 the Wuhan coronavirus.
“I’m a Chinese-American. I don’t see any racism in what President Trump is trying to do,” Chang said. “What I see is a president defending the United States of America against a dangerous, hostile, communist regime.”

Chang, the author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” warned that China’s Communist Party has launched an aggressive propaganda campaign aimed at sinking the American economy and blaming the United States for the Wuhan coronavirus.
“The political system in China has identified the U.S. as an enemy,” Chang said. “And that’s why it’s important for President Trump to make it clear this virus came from China.”
