If there’s a recurring theme regarding the growing concerns over Joe Biden’s mental agility, it may be why doesn’t his family stop this before the 77-year-old former vice president further humiliates himself, forever marring his legacy as a public servant.

Another may be that Biden is getting worse.

It’s painful to watch Biden struggle to formulate his thoughts, attempting to piece together sentence fragments and appearing to lose his train of thought in the process. And that pain could be seen etched across the face of CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Thursday night during a segment with Biden.

With Biden struggling desperately to put his words together, a worried expression is seen on the face of Gupta, a practicing neurosurgeon.

During Wednesday’s appearance on CNN, the 2020 presumptive Democrat nominee was trying to criticize the overall response to the COVID-19 pandemic — Biden often calls on President Donald Trump to make greater use the Defense Production Act to effectively nationalize the medical supply industry.

What started out as a solid analogy soon fell apart to little more than gibberish, as the candidate lost his train of thought.

“One of the things that I think that we keep coming back to, and I’ve spent this morning talking to the docs that used to work with Sanjay in our last administration and heads of other entities that a, um, you know, it gets down to testing, it’s about testing, tracing, and treatment,” Biden said. “And so, we’re way behind on the testing piece and I don’t quite understand why we’re taking so long to do the kinds of things that have to be done.”

“Um, you know there’s a, uh, during World War Two, uh, you know, where Roosevelt came up with a thing, uh, that uh, you know, was totally different, than a, than the, he called it the, you know, the World War II, he had the War Production Board,” he added. “I don’t know why we don’t set up a pandemic production board.”

Conservative political commentator Dave Rubin summed up the sad display best as he called out Sanjay, suggesting that the neurosurgeon “knows something’s up.”

“Curious if Sanjay has chimed in on what he thinks about Biden’s mental health?” he tweeted. “Look at his face, he knows something’s up. Eventually the dam is gonna break and everyone is gonna be pointing fingers at who silenced who. They’re all in this twisted game together…”

As we saw in the 2016 election, the complicit media is more than capable of hiding a Democratic candidate’s health concerns in the months leading up to an election — at least, they were until Hillary Clinton was caught on camera fainting as Secret Service agents propped her up.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the latest Biden stumble from Twitter:
