Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was ridiculed for being triggered by Fox News host Laura Ingraham over the coronavirus pandemic.
The New York Democrat got into a war of words with Ingraham after the Fox News host mocked her take on how racial and economic inequalities would mean COVID-19 effects would more negatively impact people of color.
“The Doctor of Mixology will save us!” Ingraham tweeted Friday, reacting to Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet declaring that “COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.”

The New York lawmaker fired back at Ingraham mocking her job as a bartender before she was elected to Congress.
“Didn’t you just put a doctor on your show who faked their employment at Lenox Hill hospital and touted a COVID “treatment” that you tweeted & Twitter had to remove because a man may have died trying self-administer it?” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
“I’m sorry, why are you on TV again?” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez was referring to a doctor who allegedly worked for a New York hospital and who had appeared recently on Ingraham’s Fox News show. She also added that the doctor “touted a COVID treatment'” and referred to a man allegedly dying after trying to “self-administer” a drug for treating coronavirus.
Ingraham fired back, noting that the doctor she interviewed had “admitting privileges” at Lenox Hill, and had not lied about his employment there. She called out the “typical liberal” for “maligning” the doctor.
Typical liberal. Doesn’t know the meaning of the phrase “admitting privileges” versus “employed by”—maligning a man who has spent his life teaching and saving lives of late stage cancer patients. https://t.co/omIV4IMlM7

The Fox News host did not, however, address Ocasio-Cortez’s dig about Twitter removing her post because it fell under their “misleading information policy” with its “Heightened-risk health claims.”
A TWITTER SPOX confirmed to @Mediaite: the tweets “fall under our misleading information policy under Heightened-risk health claims,” adding the tweet has been “taken down.”

Ocasio-Cortez continued to double down on her claims against Ingraham, linking to a Daily Beast story about the Twitter decision.

She added another tweet on the story of the man who died after using a form of chloroquine.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) April 3, 2020
But the Arizona man who died had ingested a fish tank cleaner containing chloroquine phosphate, an ingredient different from the one medically being discussed to combat the virus. President Trump was quickly blamed by the left but there was much more to the story, as it turned out.
Twitter users slammed Ocasio-Cortez for failing to prove anything in her attacks on Ingraham.
You mean the couple that drank aquarium cleaner, not medicine prescribed by a doctor?
— 👉🏼👌🏼 (@tomburkart) April 3, 2020
They self administered fish tank cleaner, but you knew that. The treatment is the one rated most effective by doctors.
— Jen DinNJ (@JenDinnj) April 3, 2020
You just blatantly lied while in your official capacity.
But then when have you been truthful to start with?

Amazing to have many things wrong with a limited character count.
A guy died eating fish bowl cleaner.
That is of no relation to an FDA approved medication that requires a doctor’s prescription to get. One thousands of doctors in 30+ countries rated the best treatment for covid.— 😷Gunpowder&Vanilla🔫 (@Autumn__Fox) April 3, 2020
This would be a better dunk if your own thread didn’t lead to the “CDC warns people not to self-medicate with fish tank cleaner” article that sounds like the onion. pic.twitter.com/70sBgUbmpk

can you get off twitter and do some work, sincerely your employer
— iowaguyviail (@IowaguyviaIL) April 3, 2020
He self administered fish tank cleaner.
Have you been drinking any? Looking for an explanation on how you could possibly be this blockheaded.
