AOC mixes margaritas live while ranting on how elected officials are not doing enough

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to social media to complain about coronavirus relief as she displayed her bartender skills.

The New York Democrat posted a video slamming elected officials who are allegedly “doing far too little” in the face of the global pandemic while she herself was mixing drinks as she spoke.

“We need to be really blowing up our elected officials’ offices and demanding relief because they want to continue getting away with doing far too little,” she said as she mixed liquids for the concoction she was brewing.

“And in this moment there’s no such thing as doing too much. I mean honestly, have you ever had a point in your life where the federal government did too much for you? Where they gave you too much?” she asked.

“Never happened to me. I’ve never seen that in my life. I never had too many scholarships, you know. We never had too many people that got relief. Puerto Rico never got too much aid,” the self-described Democratic socialist added.

“But anyways, I digress. I’m sure there are plenty of Republicans that are of that opinion,” she said before shifting to give pointers on how to make a margarita.

Actor James Woods noted that the “silver lining” of the coronavirus lockdowns is that Ocasio-Cortez “does not have her horde of minions writing and vetting her Twitter feed for her.”

The freshman congresswoman last week blasted the $2.2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package passed in the Senate, calling the “shameful” bill one of “the largest corporate bailouts” in “American history” during an angry speech on the House floor.

“Crumbs for our families,” she said. “And the option that we have is to either let them suffer with nothing, or to allow this greed and billions of dollars, which will be leveraged into trillions of dollars, to contribute the largest income inequality gap in our future. There should be shame about what was fought for in this bill, and the choices that we have to make.”

Despite her tirade, Ocasio-Cortez voted in favor of the bill and then said it was not enough, calling on Congress to meet again in order to pass more legislation.

Ocasio-Cortez appeared to be pushing her progressive ideas for the next phase of economic relief in a tweet demanding that future measures should be “drafted with a lens of reparations” to make up for “environmental racism.”

Her latest live video prompted plenty of reactions as Twitter users gave her a reality check.
