Lawyer predicts ‘legal bloodbath’: Tucker warns Fox News will be blamed for virus, called to shut down ‘in the name of public health’

Democrat Party activists and their oblivious media cohorts believe that Fox News could face legal repercussions for its alleged downplaying of the global coronavirus pandemic.

And naturally, this belief is rooted in a report published in Media Matters, a Democrat Party propagandist outfit whose dubious agitprop is frequently echoed verbatim by the allegedly non-biased, objective “journalists” and “reporters” in the mainstream press.

On Sunday, the propaganda outfit ran a report outlining unsubstantiated claims from Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman that Fox News insiders are “worried about legal action after misleading views about coronavirus.”

The story was immediately picked up by members of the left, including former Clinton administration official Michael Bromwich, who in more recent times has earned prominence for representing debunked Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford and disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Look:

The irony and arrogance were appallingly stunning.

First, this bogus theory is based on the left-wing lie that both President Donald Trump and Fox News had dismissed the coronavirus threat as a hoax. As both the president and various FNC hosts have explained over and over again, their language about “hoaxes” was in reference to the left’s willful politicization of the coronavirus crisis.

Even Ben Smith of The New York Times has admitted that this what Fox contributors such as Sean Hannity had meant when they spoke of hoaxes.

“When Hannity says this is the latest hoax, I don’t think he thinks the virus is a hoax. He thinks that the media coverage transcended what’s happening to people on the ground,” he said recently on MSNBC before nevertheless accusing Fox of downplaying the virus.

Listen:

Second, the networks that actually downplayed the coronavirus threat are among the same anti-Trump ones most eager to see Fox News fall. These include The Washington Post, USA Today, MarketWatch and Vox, among many, many, many others.

The evidence can be seen for yourself below:

Of course, neither Sherman nor the folks at Media Matters have voiced any concern about these examples. Instead, their focus has been solely on Fox News.

Why? Because Fox News is the enemy of the Democrat Party, and it, therefore, behooves left-wing propagandists to pursue the network’s destruction.

However, FNC isn’t the party’s only enemy. So is every contrarian who’s willing to publicly reject the mainstream media’s narrative. And according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, such contrarians include the likes of Rudy Giuliani,  Charlie Kirk and Laura Ingraham, all of whom have been censored by Twitter for their defense of the potential coronavirus cure hydroxychloroquine.

“Twitter is censoring comments that say unapproved things about hydroxychloroquine, the antimalaria drug that has shown some promise,” he said Tuesday evening on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“Is the drug known for certain to be effective? No it’s not. But some doctors and researchers on the front lines think it works and they are treating patients with it right now. The FDA just approved it. Yet because the media are partisan and stupid, their position is hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work and could never work and if you disagree with that will make you shut up.”

Exactly.

It’s just too tempting to use a crisis to achieve your political objectives,” he added. “Soon they’ll be telling you that Fox News, not China, caused this pandemic. In fact, many are saying that now.”

“How long before they start claiming that in the name of public health, Fox News must be suppressed? Paranoid? Okay, you watch. That’ll happen.”

Clearly, he was right — more-so than he even knew at the time.

Earlier this week a top Fox News personality and adviser to the president warned Paul Joseph Watson of The Summit that if Democrats win in November, “they’re going to crush Fox News.”

“Speaking privately to Summit, the host was responding to news that fellow Fox commentator Laura Ingraham had been forced under threat of suspension to delete a tweet about the drug Hydroxychloroquine being a potential cure for coronavirus,” Watson reported Tuesday.

“The Fox News host and presidential adviser said all this once again illustrated how the left and social media giants have been emboldened by the Trump administration’s lack of action on censorship and that this could spell disaster come the election.”

“If Democrats win in November, they’re going to crush Fox News just as they’ve crushed the NRA. And we’re going to deeply regret letting it happen,” the unnamed host said.
