On March 13, Fox Business Network effectively put “Trish Regan Primetime” on quarantine (hiatus) after she delivered candid remarks about the left’s unambiguous politicization of the global coronavirus pandemic.
Two weeks later on Friday, March 28, the network ousted Regan from the network altogether, citing the need to direct resources to “continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
“We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” the network said in a statement.
“We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
Regan responded to the split with a positive statement as well, “I have enjoyed my time at FOX and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times. I am grateful to my incredible team at FOX Business and for the many opportunities the network has provided me. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career.”
The unexpected ouster spurred vehement outrage from her fans, many of whom are convinced she was removed for “telling the truth” and question why Fox News’ Donna Brazile remains on air despite her own controversial statements.
Fox Business fires Trish Regan for telling the truth, but keeps proven cheater Donna Brazile on air to spread bullshit lies & propaganda 🤔
Fox is garbage.

Fox News just fired Trish Regan,
But yet they still allow Donna Brazile on? 🤔

Fox Business/News has now fired Trish Regan for telling the truth about the China virus. Everything she said was accurate. She was 100% correct that the media has made the panic 10 times worse than it had to be, and that it’s been weaponized against Trump. All factual

Fox News is getting to be just as bad as CNN and MSNBC, after firing Trish Regan for telling the truth. Fox should be ashamed of themselves!

The firing of Trish Regan and the hiring of @donnabrazile shows the hypocrisy of the network. Get rid of a class act telling the truth and hire a cheating lying partisan hack that viewers can’t stomach to watch.

On one hand, Regan’s remarks about the left’s politicization of the coronavirus pandemic were accurate. The evidence is legion, and the fact that FBN placed her show on hiatus after she delivered the remarks is indeed highly disturbing to many.
“The chorus of hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him, and only him, for a virus that originated halfway around the world,” she’d said on a segment that aired March 10.
“This is yet another attempt to impeach the president, and sadly it seems they care very little for any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake. Losses in the stock market, all this, unfortunately, just part of the political casualties for them.”
The evidence includes …
♦ The left’s defense of communist China …
♦ The left’s attempts to pit Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci against President Donald Trump …
♦ The left’s lies about the Trump administration’s coronavirus response …
♦ The left’s attempted hijacking of the emergency coronavirus spending bill …
♦ The left’s reflexive dismissal of chloroquine as a potential coronavirus cure …
♦ And the left’s inconsistent treatment of Trump and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo …
Cuomo: we need to get people back to work, focus lockdowns on the most vulnerable
the media: Cuomo is our President!
Trump: we need to get people back to work, focus lockdowns on the most vulnerable
the media: Trump wants mass murder

No matter what the president says or does, the narrative is always #OrangeManBad. And any reporter who does speak the truth is bad as well.
Besides falsely claiming that the president believes the coronavirus pandemic to be a hoax (Fact-check: FALSE), the left has also lobbed this same allegation against any network host willing to talk about the left’s politicization of the crisis, including Regan and her Fox News colleague Sean Hannity.
However, Ben Smith of The New York Times recently admitted during an appearance on MSNBC that this narrative is fake news.
“When Hannity says this is the latest hoax, I don’t think he thinks the virus is a hoax. He thinks that the media coverage transcended what’s happening to people on the ground,” he said before claiming FNC downplayed the virus.
Of course, the evidence shows it was the mainstream media that actually downplayed the coronavirus pandemic and compared it to the flu …
Dovetailing back to the complaints from Regan’s fans, while partially right, they were also partially wrong, or at least according to CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter’s admittedly notoriously unreliable sources.
In the latest edition of his weekday newsletter, he claimed Regan’s ouster was motivated primarily by alleged insubordination and low ratings.
“What caused Fox to part ways with Regan? It wasn’t a single incident. For my forthcoming book about Fox in the Trump age, I’ve been interviewing scores of sources at the network. Last year a network veteran said to me, ‘No one at Fox ever gets in trouble for what they say, they get in trouble for insubordination,'” he wrote.
“That’s partly what this Regan episode was about. It was also about her weak ratings performance — she was in a very tough time slot, 8pm ET, but she was losing half of her Lou Dobbs lead-in despite her daily attempts to mimic Dobbs. So this episode isn’t fully about her deplorable downplaying of the virus; other factors were at play. Regan didn’t respond when I asked her for comment.”
FYI, Regan never once “downplayed” the coronavirus …
All she did was point out how left-wing propagandists like him are so often (though not quite always) immensely full of Schiff.
Case in point:
MUST WATCH: CNN & the Fake News media double standard ⬇️
When @realDonaldTrump expresses optimism about hydroxychloroquine treating the coronavirus it’s “false hope”
When the Democrat Governor of New York does it, it’s actual “hope” & “leadership”
Can’t have it both ways! pic.twitter.com/UmLzYHPHsd
