Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) angrily shouted down CNN’s Dana Bash when asked about President Trump’s plans to reopen the U.S. economy next month if the coronavirus crisis is contained.
The President said he hopes to reopen the economy by Easter (April 12) — barring a continuing health crisis.
Predictably, leftists distorted Trump’s statement to mean that he wants business back to usual even if the coronavirus outbreak continues to escalate. That’s not what he said.
Pelosi is a multi-millionaire, career politician who has been gorging at the public trough for 34 years. Millionaire Nancy hasn’t missed a single taxpayer-funded, government paycheck since 1987.
But she’s furious that President Trump expressed concern that middle- and lower-class Americans aren’t getting paid and can’t put food on their tables for their families amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Bash asked: “Where do you stand, and more importantly, what is your message to the President about the time frame?”
Pelosi replied: “There doesn’t have to be a contradiction there. Our economy will thrive when our people are well and able to go back to work in groups, and our children can go back to school. But central to all of that is stopping the spread of the disease, of the coronavirus. It’s central to that.”
Pelosi continued: “So I don’t have time to follow people’s twits, tweets, twitters, whatever, tweets. So don’t expect me to comment on them.”
Bash followed up by asking: “Even beyond Twitter, the president of the United States is saying that he could open it up.”
That’s when a furious Pelosi cut Dana Bash off, yelling: “I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t care!”
Pelosi retorted: “My opinion is that it’s not scientific. He’s notion-mongering, as he does almost every day. So rather than waste any time commenting on the president, I would rather spend our time focusing on the fact that any president or anybody with responsibility should be scientifically inclined, evidence-based.”
She added: “I think the cure is the biggest message of hope that is out there. We have the best minds in the country, 24/7, all hands on deck trying to find a path here. And that is what will be the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Nancy Pelosi is correct: At President Trump’s urging, top scientists in the United States are conducting trials to research drug combinations to combat the coronavirus.
While Trump cleared FDA red tape so medical experts can quickly find a cure, leftists blamed him because a random guy drank toxic fish tank cleaner, hoping to prevent the coronavirus.

Hydroxychloroquine is a decades-old drug that has successfully treated malaria.
A 36-patient study recently conducted by a French doctor showed a 100% cure rate for the coronavirus using hydroxychloroquine in combination with Zithromax Z-Pak.
Large-scale studies of hydroxychloroquine started in New York (a coronavirus hot spot) this week.
