A gun-toting disabled woman who’s immuno-compromised slammed anti-Second Amendment leftists who want to strip her of her ability to defend herself amid the coronavirus hysteria.

Carletta Whiting is a breast cancer survivor whose immune system is impaired by fibromyalgia. Whiting torched leftists who want to prevent law-abiding Americans like her from buying guns to protect themselves, as well as liberals who want to confiscate guns from lawful gun owners.

“I know from history how quickly society breaks down during a crisis,” Whiting warned in an NRA video (see below). “We’ve never faced anything like this before. And never is the Second Amendment more important than during public unrest.”

Whiting continued: “I hope I survive the coronavirus. That’s up to God. What’s in my control is how I defend myself if things go from bad to worse.”

Carletta recalled the 2005 mass gun confiscation that occurred in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

She’s terrified that such an abuse of Constitutional rights could happen again as the media continue to foment mass panic amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“Police actually went door to door stripping our society’s most vulnerable people of their guns, which was their only means to protect themselves,” Whiting recounted.

“It would be foolish to assume it couldn’t happen here. It already has.

What’s happening today feels eerily similar in Champagne, Illinois. The mayor has assumed the power to ban gun transfers, citing the coronavirus pandemic in New Orleans.

The mayor has issued an emergency order allowing her to ban the sale and transportation of firearms.”

Since the coronavirus pandemic has erupted, gun sales across the United States have surged. Sales have especially soared in states that are COVID-19 hot spots (most of which are left-wing “blue states”).

Contributing to the public anxiety about a breakdown in law and order are announcements by left-wing mayors that police will no longer make arrests for personal theft, retail theft, or home burglaries.

In other words, a criminal can break into your home and steal all your supplies. And nothing will happen to him.

“It’s no surprise why sales of guns and ammunition have skyrocketed,” Carletta Whiting said. “Even liberals in California are lining up because they know the government will not be able to protect them.”

We’re already seeing an escalating breakdown in law-and-order right now. Twitter user César Calderón posted a video of looters stealing things from a Walgreens in California.

Calderon tweeted: “They fill up their bags like they are casually shopping, then walk out. Governor Newsom, great job!”

The media have focused mostly on the health impact of the coronavirus hysteria. However, many others are sounding the alarm on the catastrophic impact the hysteria is having on the U.S. economy.

The fallout from this will be even greater than the health impact since unemployment fuels massive spikes in violent crimes and suicides.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson observed: “Our first obligation is to keep our people safe. At the same time, we need to protect our economy. Economic decline is dangerous for everyone, especially those at the bottom.”

We know from history that mass poverty fuels alarming surges in violent crime and a total breakdown in “civilized society.”

Carlson explained: “You could see an awful lot of people in poverty. And that poses its own kind of public-health risk.”

Tucker underscored: “Poor countries are never healthy countries. If you want great healthcare, you’ve got to pay for it, and you’ve got to have money to do so. Responding to this epidemic requires balance.”

The Left has criticized President Trump for trying to stabilize the U.S. economy without realizing how important that is. Others disagree.

For the record, those warning the United States to protect its once-sizzling economy are NOT downplaying the seriousness of the coronavirus crisis. They’re just saying that we shouldn’t burn the economy to the ground.
