Ilhan Omar announces marriage to political aide she denied having an affair with

You likely won’t hear about it from the glaringly partisan mainstream media, but Muslim Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar appears to be a shameless, smug liar.

“No, I am not,” she confidently declared last August when asked by Minneapolis station WCCO whether she’d separated from her then-husband, Ahmed Hirsi, and was dating somebody else.

The facts available at the time suggested she was romantically involved with her longtime political aide and consultant, Tim Mynett. Like lying birds of a feather, he too denied their affair.

Two months after her interview with WCCO, she filed for divorce from Hirsi. Another five months later, she married Mynett in a ceremony that reportedly occurred sometime this week.

On Wednesday, the congresswoman took to Instagram to announce her new marriage:

The evidence strongly suggests what she said back in August was a lie.

Around the time of the interview, Mynett’s then-wife filed divorce papers citing his romantic involvement with Omar as justification.

“The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant [Tim] told Plaintiff [Dr. Mynett] that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar,” the papers read.

“Defendant met Rep. Omar while working for her. Although devastated by the betrayal and deceit that preceded his abrupt declaration, Plaintiff told Defendant that she loved him, and was willing to fight for the marriage. Defendant, however, told her that was not an option for him. … It is clear to Plaintiff that her marriage to Defendant is over and that there is no hope of reconciliation.”

Around that same time, images began to emerge of Omar and Mynett rendezvousing outside of work in highly suspect locations.

The two were reportedly spotted as early as March 2019 dining and holding hands at a secluded Italian restaurant outside of Los Angeles. Footage of the two leaving the restaurant together may be seen below.

Based on all the evidence, it seems clear the congresswoman brazenly lied when asked last August about her now-confirmed affair with Mynett. This ought to come as no surprise to those aware of Omar’s history of lying.

However, those Americans who only obtain their news from the shamelessly partisan mainstream media are most likely entirely unaware of her alleged lies and ethics violations thanks to efforts by the media to suppress the truth.

For instance, evidence that surfaced late last year suggested that Omar had paid Mynett and his consulting group specifically to advance her affair.

“We believe Representative Ilhan Omar may have touched the third rail of campaign finance law: disbursing campaign funds for personal use,” a member of the conservative government ethics watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center said at the time.

“It’s a brazen act Representative Omar was caught doing before in Minnesota and all of the evidence we’ve seen tells us she’s probably doing it again.”

Fact-check: TRUE.

Last summer the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ordered the Muslim congresswoman to reimburse her own campaign $3,469.23 and pay a fine of $500 for the crime of misusing campaign funds.

The congresswoman most notorious alleged violation revolves around the allegation that she’d purposefully married her brother to bypass America’s immigration laws.

Abdihakim Osman, a local Somali community leader who used to be among the congresswoman’s friends, revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail last month that nobody in their community even knew about the marriage until sleuths in the conservative media brought it up years later.

To Osman and his peers in Minneapolis, the man that documents now show Omar had married, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, had always been known simply as her brother — her seemingly gay brother, that is.

“People began noticing that Ilhan and [Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, her first husband] were often with a very effeminate young guy,” Osman said to the Daily Mail through an interpreter.

“He was very feminine in the way he dressed. He would wear light lipstick and pink clothes and very, very, short shorts in the summer. People started whispering about him. [Hirsi] and Ilhan both told me it was Ilhan’s brother and he had been living in London but he was mixing with what were seen as bad influences that the family did not like. So they sent him to Minneapolis as ‘rehab.’”

That the congresswoman married this man is indisputable, though whether or not this man is, in reality, is her brother still remains unknown.

Allegations such as these tend to be ignored by the media or dismissed as “conspiracy theories,” never mind the forever-mounting evidence against the congresswoman.

No wonder Omar’s so smug …
