Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera made an impassioned appeal to President Trump on Sean Hannity’s show, begging POTUS to stop shaking people’s hands amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Rivera said everyone should be taking precautions to prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus, including washing your hands frequently and limiting physical contact with people.
“We want people to use precautions: Wash your hands. Stop shaking hands,” Rivera said. “I want you to tell the President when you talk to him that Geraldo said, ‘Mr. President, for the good of the nation, stop shaking hands.’ It’s a bad example. We don’t need it.”
Geraldo continued: “I know you’re brave and all the rest of it and you want to be engaged. Fine, we get it. You’re doing a terrific job! Now everybody follow the same simple steps.”
Geraldo made the plea hours after CNN’s showboating reporter Jim Acosta asked Vice President Mike Pence if President Trump will stop shaking people’s hands.
Acosta asked the question at a coronavirus press briefing led by Vice President Pence, who’s overseeing the efforts to counteract the virus.
“Should the President stop shaking hands with people?” Acosta asked. “He just did it at the Medal of Freedom ceremony a few moments ago. On this sign up here, it says you should stop handshaking in your workplace, school, and commercial establishments. Should the President set that example? I notice you have been opting for the elbow bump.”
That’s when Pence injected, “I’ve been shaking hands too.”
Acosta asked: “Is that necessary at this point?”
The Vice President replied: “As the President has said, in our line of work, you shake hands when someone wants to shake your hand. I expect the President will continue to do that. I’ll continue to do it.”
Pence continued: “What this is is a broader recommendation for Americans, but a good recommendation is to wash your hands often. And all the experts tell me while people want to get various sanitizing lotions, washing your hands with hot soap and water for 20 seconds is just as good as any lotion you can buy.”

It’s hypocritical for Geraldo Rivera and Jim Acosta to feign concern about the coronavirus spreading since both are proponents of illegal immigration who have no problem with caravans of unvetted migrants flooding the U.S. border.
In November 2018, both Rivera and CNN championed the multiple migrant caravans stampeding toward the U.S. border (while waving the flags of their own Central American countries). At that time, they didn’t care that illness had spread throughout the caravans.
2267 of the migrants have been treated:
60% w/ respiratory infections
3 cases of TB
4 cases of HIV-AIDS
101 cases of lice
4 cases of chickenpox & hepatitis
For those trying to blame ICE & BP for ill health in detention facilities, it’s clear they are likely ALREADY sick.

“The Government of Baja, California reported treating 818 respiratory infections and providing 1,286 general medical consultations to members of the migrant caravan,” the San Diego Tribune reported.
Keep in mind that the Left argued that these disease-ridden illegal aliens should be allowed into the United States and released into the general public — maybe into your neighborhood.
As a result of multiple illegal aliens in the caravans being infected with viruses, the one-year-old daughter of illegal Yazmin Juarez contracted a respiratory illness after living among other migrants in an ICE detention facility.
When Juarez’s daughter died six weeks after being released from the ICE family detention center, Juarez filed a $60 million wrongful-death claim against the United States, accusing it of providing substandard medical care.
Keep in mind that American taxpayers had footed all of Juarez’s medical bills, which could have been obviated had there been a border wall to prevent mom and child from entering the U.S. illegally.
The same open-borders leftists who want to flood the United States with illegal aliens and unvetted refugees from third-world countries are now panicking over the coronavirus outbreak. That’s rich.
