President Trump’s campaign blasted Twitter for labeling one of its videos of Joe Biden’s numerous gaffes “manipulated media.”
In a fiery letter to the social-media monopoly, the Trump campaign accused Twitter of ignoring the Biden team’s own “doctored and deceptively edited” videos falsely smearing Trump while “instituting a special ‘Biden Protection Rule’ that silences any criticism of the doddering Democrat.
Basically, the Trump campaign urged Twitter to stop putting its thumb on the scale for Sleepy Joe.
“Twitter shouldn’t be an enforcement arm of Joe Biden’s campaign strategy,” Trump campaign adviser Andrew Clark told Fox News. “But if they choose to police every video clip, they must hold his own campaign to the same standard.”
Clark continued: “The Biden campaign is scared as hell that voters will see the flood of unedited and embarrassing verbal stumbles that will continue to go viral if ‘Status Quo Joe’ is the nominee.”
The brouhaha erupted last weekend, when Trump communications director Dan Scavino tweeted a video that showed a confused Biden inadvertently endorsing President Trump.
The video did not alter any of Biden’s words, but it allegedly cut off the ending, when he incoherently stammered:
“If you want a nominee who will bring this party together, who will run a progressive, positive campaign, and turn, turn this primary from a campaign that’s about negative attacks into one that’s about what we’re for — because we cannot get — re-elect — we cannot win this re-election — excuse me.
We can only re-elect Donald Trump — if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. Gotta be a positive campaign, so join us.”
A confused-looking Joe also called himself “O’Biden.”

For reference, this video of slurring Joe is unedited:
After the Biden campaign complained to Twitter’s left-wing CEO Jack Dorsey, the unregulated tech monopoly caved and labeled the Trump campaign video “manipulated.”
The Trump team pointed out that Twitter still has done nothing to stop left-wing Twitter accounts from rabidly pushing the Fake News that Trump had called the coronavirus “a hoax.” That is false.
What the President called a hoax was the manufactured mass panic and hysteria deliberately being fomented by the media and the Left to blame him for the coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China.
Reminder: Leftists said nothing when Barack Obama waited until 1,000 Americans had died and millions of Americans had been infected with the swine flu before taking measures to contain it.
The Trump camp also pointed out that Twitter has still done nothing to stop the barrage of false claims that President Trump had called white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia “very fine people.” That claim is totally false.
Trump campaign chief operating officer Michael Glassner wrote to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey:
“Understandably, the Biden campaign has a strategic interest in intimidating social media companies into suppressing true and embarrassing video evidence of Joe Biden’s continued inability to communicate coherently — a sad truth that has been publicly noted by Democrats and media figures alike.
Still, it appears that many people employed by Big Tech corporations in Silicon Valley are assisting the Biden campaign by instituting a special ‘Biden protection rule’ that effectively censors and silences legitimate political speech Biden’s campaign and its supporters do not like.
[We are] formally requesting that Twitter apply its new ‘manipulated media’ label to a doctored and deceptively edited video tweeted by the Biden campaign less than a week ago.
If Twitter is not seeking to protect Joe Biden, we urge it to correct its apparent oversight and apply its standards equally across the board.”
