When you suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, the fear-mongering, hysteria, paranoia and schizophrenic delusions never end.
Take the particularly tragic case of Hollywood actress Debra Messing, a stage 4 TDS sufferer whose entire world now revolves around her pathological hatred of President Donald Trump.
On Friday, she tweeted that “Trump MUST GO” because “he puts Americans in mortal danger.”

Her current bout of paranoia and psychopathy is based on a false belief that the Trump administration is responsible for the global coronavirus epidemic because it cut funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This belief in turn is rooted in a report published by The Washington Post over two years ago.
“[T]he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is dramatically downsizing its epidemic prevention activities in 39 out of 49 countries because money is running out,” the outlet reported in early February of 2018.
However, these cuts never materialized.
“[T]he eventual budget [the president] signed included an increase in funding” for the CDC, Fox News notes.
Plus, the argument could be made that the United States isn’t responsible for epidemic/pandemic prevention in other countries.
Ironically, by casting blame on the Trump administration for the global spread of coronavirus, Messing has tacitly chosen to side with the hated Russians.
“Russia’s spin doctors have capitalized on the fear and confusion of the epidemic to point the blame at the United States, following a well-established pattern of previous Russian disinformation campaigns and evoking a Cold War-era plot by the KGB to paint HIV as a U.S. biological weapon,” Foreign Policy magazine reported last month.
“Russia’s disinformation campaigns often rely on a kernel of truth that is then blown up and distorted beyond recognition.”
Such as the “kernel of truth” that the Trump administration had indeed proposed certain cuts for the CDC. Except that those cuts never actually materialized, as nearly a thousand Twitter users have tried to hammer into Messing’s brain.

To be fair, Messing is a longtime TDS sufferer who’s been posting “unhinged tweets” for years now.
Last year she posted a tweet praising a sign posted by a Baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama, that labeled black Trump supporters mentally ill and white Trump supporters racist.
The year before that she posted a tweet telling fellow actress Susan Sarandon to “STFU” after Sarandon praised Trump for inspiring “more women and people of color to run for office.”
And the year before that she threw a fit after a report emerged that then-top White House adviser Steve Bannon was pushing to raise taxes on the wealthy:

According to critics, that she would suddenly reverse course on her far-left views on taxes suggested that either she was a hypocrite or her TDS was “stuck on autopilot.”
