When you suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, the fear-mongering, hysteria, paranoia and schizophrenic delusions never end.
Take the particularly tragic case of Hollywood actress Debra Messing, a stage 4 TDS sufferer whose entire world now revolves around her pathological hatred of President Donald Trump.
On Friday, she tweeted that “Trump MUST GO” because “he puts Americans in mortal danger.”
THIS is why Trump MUST GO! He puts Americans in mortal danger. https://t.co/yQ2zveYPs3

Her current bout of paranoia and psychopathy is based on a false belief that the Trump administration is responsible for the global coronavirus epidemic because it cut funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This belief in turn is rooted in a report published by The Washington Post over two years ago.
“[T]he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is dramatically downsizing its epidemic prevention activities in 39 out of 49 countries because money is running out,” the outlet reported in early February of 2018.
However, these cuts never materialized.
“[T]he eventual budget [the president] signed included an increase in funding” for the CDC, Fox News notes.
Plus, the argument could be made that the United States isn’t responsible for epidemic/pandemic prevention in other countries.
Ironically, by casting blame on the Trump administration for the global spread of coronavirus, Messing has tacitly chosen to side with the hated Russians.
“Russia’s spin doctors have capitalized on the fear and confusion of the epidemic to point the blame at the United States, following a well-established pattern of previous Russian disinformation campaigns and evoking a Cold War-era plot by the KGB to paint HIV as a U.S. biological weapon,” Foreign Policy magazine reported last month.
“Russia’s disinformation campaigns often rely on a kernel of truth that is then blown up and distorted beyond recognition.”
Such as the “kernel of truth” that the Trump administration had indeed proposed certain cuts for the CDC. Except that those cuts never actually materialized, as nearly a thousand Twitter users have tried to hammer into Messing’s brain.
This never went into effect Debra. In fact, trump has actually passed all budgets that have increased funding to the CDC.

OMG Debra. Blindly retweeting without fact checking again? You should be ashamed. If you had checked your know you were repeating crap. CDC funding was increased and the reductions you mention never happened. Now who is stupid?

And the idiots speak the cdc was not cut by 80% but you would know that if you would do the research, and your not that good at what you do lady so back to moms basement you go

@DebraMessing You are putting Americans in danger, not President. Get your facts straight before repeating and spreading lies. President did NOT cut CDC budget. Come on now——apologize to your followers for the lies.

@DebraMessing you really need to learn how to check your facts before you make yourself into a fool.Trump has never reduced CDC, that is a 100% fact not a talking point from 2018.And saying Trump is responsible for coronavirus is equal to saying Obama was responsible for Ebola.

Nice tweet, except:
– It was back in 2018!
– The cuts never went into effect!
– the funding of CDC was actually increased!
But Debra, why bother to check your facts, when you can be on that next glass of wine, while typing unhinged tweets, am i right? You go sistah

To be fair, Messing is a longtime TDS sufferer who’s been posting “unhinged tweets” for years now.
Last year she posted a tweet praising a sign posted by a Baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama, that labeled black Trump supporters mentally ill and white Trump supporters racist.
The year before that she posted a tweet telling fellow actress Susan Sarandon to “STFU” after Sarandon praised Trump for inspiring “more women and people of color to run for office.”
And the year before that she threw a fit after a report emerged that then-top White House adviser Steve Bannon was pushing to raise taxes on the wealthy:
THIS IS DISGUSTING. https://t.co/YjZDKgi4C7
— Debra Messing✍? (@DebraMessing) July 26, 2017
According to critics, that she would suddenly reverse course on her far-left views on taxes suggested that either she was a hypocrite or her TDS was “stuck on autopilot.”
her outrage is stuck on autopilot.

I am surprised and confused by your response. This would only impact people who can afford to pay it and provide relief for some who need it
— LS Kemp (@kstric) July 26, 2017
I thought you were for higher taxes isn’t that a Dem strategy? hypocrite….
— The Trumpident (@The_Trumpident) July 27, 2017
I thought rich liberal H’wood types LOVED the idea of tax increases on wealthy people?

What’s the matter? I thought liberals like you wanted the “evil rich” to pay their fair share. Practice what you preach. Pay up Debra.

The fact that she’s still posting unhinged tweets three years later strongly suggests it was the latter case and furthermore that her “autopilot” light is still on …
