A Democratic congressman appeared to threaten Donald Trump Jr. while on live television for suggesting Democrats want people to get sick from the coronavirus.
Rep. John Garamendi of California warned of a “serious altercation” if President Donald Trump’s son made similar remarks in his presence, telling MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson it was “totally outrageous.”
“When you look at the discussion around coronavirus as it exists in the politics sphere, the President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was on this morning,” Jackson said, “and suggested or said outright that Democrats are taking a pandemic seemingly hoping, and I’m, quoting, ‘it comes here to kill millions of people so it can end the President’s streak of winning.’ He called that a ‘new level of sickness.'”
“He should not be near me when he says that,” Garamendi responded.
“There would be a serious altercation,” he added. “That’s just totally outrageous. I can assure you there’s not a Democrat or Republican in Congress that wants anybody to be sick.”
He went on to criticize the response to cases of the coronavirus in the U.S. and concluded by saying, “Don Jr. better not get anyplace close to me. It would not be a healthy situation.”
Trump Jr. blasted Democrats during an interview with Fox News on Friday.
“Anything that they can use to try to hurt Trump, they will. Anything he does in a positive sense, like you heard from the reporter that was just suspended from ABC, they will not give him credit for. The playbook is old at this point,” he said.
“But for them to try to take a pandemic and seemingly hope that it comes here and kills millions of people so that they could end Donald Trump’s streak of winning is a new level of sickness,” Trump Jr. added, speaking from the Conservative Political Action Conference.

The president blasted Democrats for politicizing the coronavirus outbreak during a press conference at the White House on Wednesday with officials of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He specifically called out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “incompetent” and accused her of not caring about the American people.
Pelosi slammed Trump’s $2.5 billion request from Congress to help combat the threat of the coronavirus, calling it “long overdue and completely inadequate to the scale of this emergency” in a statement this week.
Conservative activist Candace Owens called out the “Doomsday Cult” on the left which raises the alarm every time Trump makes a move, stoking fears about the virus ever since it began to make the news.
Weeks ago, we were all going to die from World War 3 because Trump killed Soleimani.
—which was scheduled to take place before we were all going to die from climate change in 12 years.
But now we’re all going to die from Coronavirus.
The Left is becoming a Doomsday Cult.

“I interviewed almost every member of that task force the president put together and is getting no credit for it,” he said. “This an incredibly competent task force with a lot of experience with emerging contagions and they are quite right to say the risk to Americans is low.”
And Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld level similar charges, saying the media’s ‘darkest desire’ is to see a catastrophe under Trump.
