Bernie Sanders supporters applauded and cheered when Democrat Stephen Wukela — the mayor of Florence, South Carolina — called them “radicals” and “socialists.”
Mayor Wukela made the remarks at a rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, just days before the state’s Feb. 29 primary election.
Wukela hyped the crowd by saying: “Alright Myrtle Beach! How does it feel to be a bunch of radicals? A bunch of revolutionaries? A bunch of socialists here in Myrtle Beach?”
That’s when the rally-goers broke into raucous applause. The shocking scene spotlights that Bernie and today’s radical Left are dead-serious about transforming the United States into a socialist country.
During his speech, Mayor Wukela warned establishment Democrats and their media minions that they won’t stop Bernie and his socialist revolution.
Wukela said: “For decades, they called him a radical. And they’ve called him a socialist, and they’ve called him a revolutionary.”
“They told us time and time again that someone who said these truths [that socialism is the answer] can’t be elected. Someone who says these truths is promising you things that are impossible. That’s what they’ve told us.
I notice something about these folks who tell us that Senator Sanders is not electable: These are the same guys that lost to Donald Trump. These same guys that are telling us that Bernie Sander is not electable are the same people who lost to him in Iowa.
They’re the same people who lost to him in New Hampshire. And they’re the same people that are going to lose to him in South Carolina.
Because we know what we want. We’re tired of being told this nonsense! We know that in South Carolina and on Super Tuesday and the rest of the year, we’re going to take back this country. And we’re electing Bernie Sanders the president of the United States.”
At that point, the crowd started chanting: “We want Bernie! We want Bernie! We want Bernie!”
The Democratic Party is splintering, as an ugly civil war is brewing between the far-left faction that champions socialism and the moderate Democrats who comprise the majority of the party.
As an illustration of this fracturing, two Florida Democrats sued to kick Bernie off the state’s March 17 primary ballot. The plaintiffs sounded the alarm about the socialist invasion of the Democratic Party, which they fear will silence their votes.
Meanwhile, Speaker Nancy Pelosi disingenuously claimed through gritted teeth that she’d be happy having a socialist as her party’s nominee. However, many on the Left and in the media don’t believe it.
Pelosi has been feeding from the public trough as a member of Congress since 1987. Despite her party’s recent turn to the far-left, Nancy has been a centrist Democrat for her entire career.

While Bernie Sanders and his acolyte Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (a.k.a. – “Bronx Bolshevik”) are trying to turn the United States into communist Cuba, President Trump warned radical leftists that “America will never be a socialist country.”
