An Angel Mom and U.S. Congressional candidate from California slammed Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and other liberal lawmakers in the state over sanctuary policies.

Agnes Gibboney, who is running for California’s 31st Congressional District, is ready to “fight” for her country and called out the Democrat mayor during her appearance on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday.

“After my son’s murderer was released early in November of last year and I finally got him deported, I felt very strong and very empowered to fight for Americans — to fight for my country that I love and respect,” Gibboney told Fox News.

Ronald da Silva was 29-years old in 2002 when he was shot and killed while standing in his own driveway in California by a gang member and illegal immigrant who had already been deported once.

“I want to ask California elected officials where is the protection of all of us citizens. What are you doing to protect us, support our borders, and deport illegal aliens,” Gibboney said at a press conference she held in November 2019 as the killer’s release from custody was pending.

Gibboney blasted California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom and liberal elected leaders and expressed to Fox News’ hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Pete Hegseth how the tragedy and the sanctuary policies caused her to ultimately run for office.

“It’s one thing for Democrats to look the other way,” Hegseth said.

“It’s another thing for a mayor to stand in front of a camera with their chief of police there saying ‘here’s how you avoid police,'” he added, referring to a message Garcetti shared last week to illegal immigrants about their rights.

Garcetti informed residents that the Los Angeles Police Department does not cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as he advised illegal aliens in the video message how to dodge immigration authorities.

“I want you to know, you do not need to be afraid. Your city is on your side, and rest assured, here in Los Angeles we are not coordinating with ICE,” the mayor said.

President Trump, who arrived in California Tuesday for a fundraiser and to speak with organizers of the 2028 Olympic Games, slammed Garcetti in a tweet for “urging illegals to beat the system.”

“The Mayor’s efforts to shield illegal aliens endangers the lives of the public and law enforcement who have to go into the field to apprehend those released,” Trump tweeted. “He shouldn’t be urging illegals to beat the system, he should be urging them to safely turn themselves in!”

Hegseth asked the Angel Mom on Wednesday how she could “overcome that sentiment.”

“They both ought to be arrested,” Gibboney responded.

“Number one, the chief of police is only agreeing with the mayor because he’s afraid to lose his contract and be fired,” she said.

“And Garcetti ought to be arrested. He is saying he is protecting the immigrant community Well, the immigrant community has no fears or concerns about Trump’s policy,” she declared.

“What Garcetti is refusing to say is he is protecting illegal aliens — those that commit crimes. And, I’m not saying that every illegal alien commits crime[s], but they commit a significant number of crimes,” Gibboney added. “They take jobs from Americans. They steal your identities. And, this is not okay.”
