Former Vice President Joe Biden “absolutely” agreed with calls for Attorney General William Barr to resign.

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate joined the chorus of critics demanding Barr resign after President Donald Trump “intimidated” him into intervening in the case involving former Trump campaign official Roger Stone.

Biden slammed the “greatest abuse of power” he has ever seen during an interview on MSNBC on Monday, speaking to Nicolle Wallace about the letter she said was signed by more than 2,000 federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials calling for Barr’s resignation.

Barr’s decision to overrule the prosecutors on Stone’s case and reduce his recommended sentence sparked an outcry from critics who slammed the attorney general for allegedly doing the president’s bidding, ignoring the appropriateness of the excessive sentencing recommendation.

“Do you join their calls for his resignation?” Wallace asked Biden on “Deadline: White House” Monday.

“Absolutely, positively,” he replied.

“This has been the most — the greatest abuse of power I have ever seen at the hands of this president who has no, no sense of decency or understanding of the Constitution. And Barr’s facilitating it is beyond my comprehension,” Biden said, apparently lacking any self-awareness.

“I’ve been around a long time, used to chair the Judiciary Committee for years. No president, no president, no president has ever intimidated an attorney general into abusing power as much as this man has,” he added. “It’s disgusting.”

“Do you have candidates in mind to serve as your attorney general to try to put this department back together?” Wallace asked the 2020 hopeful who is trailing rivals, including Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, heading into the Nevada’s caucus on Saturday.

“Yes. I can think of at least three off the top of my head, including women,” Biden answered while declining to share names as it would be “presumptuous” of him.

“I’ll get criticized for doing it. But I’ve thought a lot about this, an awful lot about this. I really believe, Nicolle, our democracy’s at risk. Four more years of this guy, our democracy is at risk. It’s the greatest abuse of power we have ever, ever seen,” Biden continued, slamming the president as having “little social redeeming value.”

Wallace asked Biden about whether, as president, he would seek to have his Justice Department “examine either the Trump Organization enriching themselves” or just “try to turn the page.”

“Try to turn the page in the sense that you do not direct the attorney general’s office to engage in certain investigations or prosecutions. Let the attorney general make that judgment based on evidence that comes before him,” he responded.

But turning the page for Biden apparently meant using a large eraser.

“I’d insist that whomever my attorney general was, they go back and scrub all of the mistakes and all the excesses of this administration. Get rid of every executive order that he’s instituted related to the Justice Department, as well as use as an object lesson what not to do,” Biden declared, clearly suffering from selective amnesia following the Obama administration under which he served.

“This is not the president’s personal lawyer, period. Vindictiveness is not his to possess,” he added.

Biden also called for Barr to resign last year in the wake of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

Biden claimed Barr had “lost the confidence of the American people” in his handling of Mueller’s report.
