Racism is alive and well at the University of Virginia. But because it’s anti-white racism in particular that’s apparently been breeding at the increasingly far-left university, you ought to expect to hear zero about it from the mainstream establishment press.
It turns out that the university contains a Multicultural Student Center that’s designed to serve as “a student-centered, collaborative space that supports underrepresented and marginalized communities, while cultivating the holistic empowerment of all students.”
And apparently, underrepresented and marginalized communities don’t include white people, as the following stunning video footage clearly demonstrates:
Leftists at the University of Virginia are dictating who is and who isn’t allowed in the new Multicultural Student Center.
“Frankly there is just too many white people in here, and this is a space for people of color.”
This kind of racist intolerance is NOT multicultural. pic.twitter.com/XkefKqfqLA

The viral footage shows a black-skinned student complaining about the presence in the center of “too many white people”, which she claims “makes some of us POCs [persons of color] uncomfortable when we see too many white people in here.”
“There’s the whole university for a lot of y’all to be at, and there’s very few spaces for us,” she adds.
Her racist mindset is rooted in the false belief that the majority of public spaces are “white spaces.” This belief is part of a broader ideology that’s taken hold on the left, in part because of former President Barack Hussein Obama and his wife, Michelle.
During their tenure in office, the duo frequently promoted racial grievance-mongering, with then-first lady Michelle suggesting in mid-2015, for instance, that even “museums and concert halls” are designed primarily for white people and not minorities like her.
“You see, there are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, well, that’s not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood,” she said during the reopening of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.
“In fact, I guarantee you that right now, there are kids living less than a mile from here who would never in a million years dream that they would be welcome in this museum.”
Since the Obamas departed office in early 2017, this mentality has only blossomed further among the left, to the point that some members of the left are now openly promoting the antithesis of what they’d complained about.
To be clear, public spaces like museums boast no segregation policy and haven’t for over half a century. Yet now members of the left are openly pushing for the antithesis, i.e., purposefully segregated “spaces” that cater only to non-white minorities.
Below are examples of the left stepping up to defend the behavior of the woman seen in the video up top:
UVA is a mostly white institution, it has tons of public spaces for studying. This student is simply asking that the one space on campus specifically designed to give students of color their own space (where there are not made a minority) remain so.

2/Having gone to UVA three times since 1998, the spaces here are hard. They are white space. Given the body I’m in, I was aware of the anti-Asian stereotypes and sentiments alive here. Perpetual foreigner questions. Lots of advances from creepy “Asian-loving” white dudes…..

Many seem to be calling the desire for POC-centered spaces “segregation” or “racism” w/o considering what exactly an anti-racist approach to space looks like. Here’s a few passages from @DrIbram’s book that I think help answer this ridiculous outrage about the @UVA MSC: pic.twitter.com/cZTzS7u7qX

The fact that white supremacists feel safe to bring torches to grounds is demonstrative of how white the space is and why all POC have their gaurd up 90% of time and do not feel safe in the majority of spaces at UVA. https://t.co/zu9mRT5tSi

Just getting caught up on what’s going on here. I stand in solidarity with this young woman and all @UVA students from marginalized communities rightfully standing up for the spaces that serve their needs. The administration needs to forcefully speak up for these students. https://t.co/8KmxH6JrDy

So according to members of the left, it’s an act of “anti-racism” to implement blatantly racist policies that target a group of people over their skin color …
This mindset makes no sense, but again, it’s part of the growing radicalism of the increasingly-identity obsessed left. After all, the current front-runner in the Democrat presidential primary once said white people “don’t know what it’s like to be poor.”
The good news is that, despite a track record for appeasing its left-wing student base, UVA has chosen in this instance to do the right thing.
In a statement issued Wednesday, university officials reiterated that the Multicultural Student Center is for everybody.
UVA this month introduced four new and expanded student centers in Newcomb Hall. Since the opening, some questions have been raised regarding the scope or inclusivity of these centers and their missions. UVA provided the following statement on Feb. 12 to address these questions: pic.twitter.com/BJ3LZCvIrE

The tweet boasted a negative ratio as of Thursday morning, though most of the comments seemed to contain very heartfelt and insightful commentary such as this:
It’s a multicultural centre, and she took it upon herself to point out that there were “too many white people”. How does she know all of those people’s culture and backgrounds, or is she making assumptions based on their skin color?
They were in the center for a reason. Shameful

I hope this young lady one day has the pleasure of having a relationship with Jesus. Apparently, her understanding of diversity is that of segragation and hate. Call me, reach out to me, I’d love to help you understand the definition of Diversity…#UVA

Your attempt to be more “inclusive” has actually created multiple centers that segregate people based on race and sexual orientation. Seems backwards to me.

I really hope this becomes a “teachable” moment for the young woman in the video. I hope she becomes more uncomfortable appearing racist (as she does appear to be in the video), than she claims to currently feel being around people of Caucasian descent. We are all human.

We are all human indeed.
