The “Tolerant Left” strikes again! Milwaukee teacher Travis Sarandos was placed on leave after tweeting that he hopes radio icon Rush Limbaugh dies a painful death from cancer.
The brouhaha erupted after Sarandos — who teaches English at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts — tweeted: “Limbaugh absolutely should have to suffer from cancer. It’s awesome that he’s dying, and hopefully it is as quick as it is painful.”
Sarandos was reacting to a left-wing activist’s tweet saying that while she doesn’t like Limbaugh, she hopes that Rush “makes a speedy recovery” because “no one should ever have to suffer from cancer.”
Travis Sarandos vehemently disagreed, saying Rush deserves to suffer and die. The hateful tweet sparked an immediate backlash.
After conservative radio host Mark Belling spotlighted Sarandos’ tweet on his blog, the Milwaukee Public School system placed him on leave, pending an investigation.
Sarandos has since deleted his Twitter account. Sadly, his revolting death wish for Rush Limbaugh joined a chorus of left-wing haters, who celebrated Rush’s failing health.
Among them was Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who reacted to the news by calling Limbaugh a “virulent racist.”
AOC also said Rush did not deserve to be honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which President Trump bestowed on him at the State of the Union address.
Rush’s producer, Bo Snerdley, reacted to the left-wing smears of his longtime colleague by tweeting that he has worked with Limbaugh for 30 years and the race-baiters couldn’t be more wrong about his friend.
I just saw the footage from CNN's Jim Acosta saying Rush has a "history" of saying disparaging things about African Americans. I have been in the studio with Rush for 30 years. I would like to formally challenge CNN and @Acosta to provide the list.

On Feb. 7, Snerdley tweeted a photo of Rush, who had returned to the studio after seeking treatment. “Our Rush is back. Thank God. And thank everyone for their prayers and support.”

At last week’s State of the Union address, President Trump honored Limbaugh for his “tireless devotion to our country.”
Trump said: “Here tonight is a special man, someone beloved by millions of Americans, who just received a Stage 4 advanced cancer diagnosis. This is not good news, but what is good news is that he is the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet. Rush Limbaugh, thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country.
Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor — the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”

Limbaugh — who arrived at the Capitol in a wheelchair — wiped tears from his eyes while First Lady Melania Trump placed the medal around his neck. Despite his illness, Rush stood to his feet numerous times during the SOTU speech to applaud the president.
Limbaugh received a raucous standing ovation at the ceremony. That’s when President Trump smiled from the lectern and gave him a thumbs-up.
