AOC erroneously attacks Rush Limbaugh as ‘virulent racist’; mocks him as he receives Medal of Freedom

Mistaking a fascination with the pretty package she wraps her failed socialist views in as confirmation she is a respected voice in politics, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared herself a defender of American traditions.

The freshman New York Democrat is a reliable voice in regurgitating the established media narrative of the day, and she responded to Rush Limbaugh being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom Tuesday night at the State of the Union by calling the talk radio titan a “racist.”

This being a continuation of the lack of compassion seen on the left since Limbaugh announced on Monday that he been diagnosed with advanced-stage lung cancer.

“First of all, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is an extraordinarily sacred award. We’re talking about putting someone on the same level as Rosa Parks, for example, in terms of their contributions to American progress,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a video she posted on Instagram. “Rush Limbaugh is a virulent racist.”

Sacredness being quite an argument to make, considering President Barack Obama gave the award to Robert DeNiro and Bruce Springsteen.

“To do it in the middle of a State of the Union, and not even dignify it with its own ceremony, as it has, there is all sorts of norms that are being violated,” she said. “Not just for people’s humanity but also, it truly just cheapens the value of it.”

The socialist Democrat mocked Limbaugh for “pretending to be surprised,” claiming Limbaugh knew what was going to happen because some media outlets reported on it, calling his reaction “such a joke.”

Ocasio-Cortez said Limbaugh “had to like, pretend that this was some kind of Oprah moment,” saying that it “was so disingenuous.” She would also say “there were plenty of people in that audience that have contributed positively to the fabric of American society, much more, frankly, than [Limbaugh] has.”

“It’s red meat to his base,” she said. “Trump knows what he’s doing and he wants to assert that Rush Limbaugh is somehow on the same level as Rosa Parks, and it’s truly nauseating.”

It seems clear that the biggest fault Ocasio-Cortez finds in Limbaugh may be that he’s a white man.

Of course, given that the radical “squad” member boycotted the SOTU, saying she did not want to “legitimize” Trump’s “lawless” behavior, some may say that Ocasio-Cortez forfeited any right to talk about what went on anyway.

The “racist” narrative was established early by CNN’s Jim Acosta, the White House correspondent for the anti-Trump network.

Saying the SOTU speech was an attempt to court the black vote, Acosta countered that effort Thursday evening by lashing out at an ailing Limbaugh to suggest Trump was honoring a racist.

“He was trying to make appeals to the African-American community,” Acosta said. “It can’t be forgotten he was awarding the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, who has a history of making derogatory comments about African-Americans. So I think, you know, overall it’s a wash.”

Limbaugh’s longtime producer, Bo Snerdley, a black man who has been with the talk radio pioneer for three decades, formally challenged Acosta to prove the “scandalous” accusation.

Known and admired by an audience of millions as “Bo Snerdley,” his name is James Golden and he recently ventured outside of radio to make a big splash in the political landscape.

As BizPac Review reported in December, Golden has founded his own conservative political action committee, the New Journey PAC, to help Republican candidates in the 2020 election educate the public about conservatism and making a difference.

“In 2020 we will promote black conservatives who are running for elective office. We will also promote conservative Republicans in battleground states, who come under attack from the false racial narratives the left employs like clockwork,” Golden said.

“Obviously, we support the reelection of President Trump, and will do all we can to message to minority communities around the country on his behalf,” he added. “Our goal is victory in 2020.”

The DC-based PAC was formed last summer with Autry J. Pruitt, who serves as CEO of both the PAC and MAGA.Black — a joint online community “for ALL conservatives … fed up with the racial narratives that the left uses to paint conservatives as bigots and racists.”
