Flailing Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was mocked on Twitter after declaring victory in the Iowa Caucuses, even though the results have been delayed due to “reporting inconsistencies.”
Buttigieg crowned himself the winner in a bizarre speech, when he said: “Iowa, you have shocked the nation. Because by all indications, we are going on to New Hampshire victorious!”
Mayor Pete then insisted that he will ultimately defeat President Trump in November: “With hope in our heart and fire in our bellies, we are going on to New Hampshire, on to the nomination, and on to chart a new course for this nation we love!”
No official results have yet been announced, causing many to accuse the Democratic Party of once again rigging the primaries against socialist Senator Bernie Sanders.
Conservative activist Scott Presler noted: “You will never believe this! According to reports, Robby Mook — Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager — was involved in the app used for the Iowa Democrat caucuses. They are trying to rig the election, again.”

Another Twitter user quipped: “I’m hearing the Iowa Dem party partnered with group led by Robby Mook (Hillary’s campaign manager) to develop strategies and systems to use tonight. Can’t make this sh*t up.”

Not great optics here, folks:
– Dems paid company literally called Shadow to create caucus app
– Buttigieg campaign also paid Shadow, FEC records show
– Caucus app fails
– Buttigieg declares himself Iowa winner with no results

Mandy McClure — the communications director of the Iowa Democratic Party — released the following statement in an attempt to ease the mass confusion that has erupted:
“We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results. In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report. This is simply a reporting issue, the app did not go down and this is not a hack or an intrusion.”
Meanwhile, Buttigieg was roundly mocked on Twitter for his premature declaration of victory.
MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki quipped: “The official results [are zero] as Pete Buttigieg declares himself victorious in Iowa.”

One guy joked: “I’m hearing reports that the DNCs reporting app issues were due to Pete Buttigieg chewing on some wires in the data center.”

Another chimed in with a photo of rat: “Pete Buttigieg seen getting pizza after iowa caucus speech.”
The Iowa debacle is symbolic of today’s chaotic, splintered Democratic Party. During the past three years, the Left has botched:
- Russia collusion hoax.
- Attempted derailment of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation.
- Sham impeachment against President Trump.
- Iowa Caucuses.
How incompetent can the Democrats be? And they want to run the country!
Yet somehow, Democrats still think they’re going to defeat Trump in November. As for Pete Buttigieg, it’s unclear why he thinks he’s in any position to be president of the United States.
Buttigieg was the failed mayor of South Bend, Indiana (population: 102,000) from 2012 until Jan. 1, 2020. During that time, Buttigieg did nothing to improve the city’s struggling economy or the racial division roiling the town.
The poverty rate in South Bend is 25.4%. That means that 1 in 4 residents is living in poverty. If Mayor Pete couldn’t lift his tiny hamlet out of poverty, what makes anyone think he can run an entire nation of 329 million people?
Despite rabidly pandering to black voters, Buttigieg is struggling to gain support. In fact, he’s polling at 0% among black voters. In contrast, three new polls indicate that President Trump’s approval rating among black voters has quadrupled since 2016.
President Trump has done more to help the African-American community in less than three years than decades of failed liberal policies.https://t.co/vfY8lZcXyx
