Tucker: Media hyped fears of violence at 2nd Amendment rally to justify gun confiscation

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said the media overhyped and stoked fears of violence and racism at the peaceful Second Amendment rally in Richmond, Virginia, yesterday because they’re trying to justify mass gun confiscation.

Why? Because an unarmed populace depends on the government and can be easily controlled. That’s why the Left promotes victimhood and welfare dependence.

“In last fall’s elections, Virginia turned from red to blue,” Carlson said. “Democrats, newly ascended, responded to the demands of donors in New York and L.A. and immediately set about trying to undo hundreds of years of gun laws. They effectively nullified the Second Amendment in Virginia. This morning, thousands of Virginians marched peacefully to protest this as an attack on their rights.”

Carlson continued: “Under some circumstances, a demonstration to protect the Constitution would be considered virtuous. Disobedience, they tell us, is what democracy is supposed to look like. Instead, the Left suggested that this was some form of terrorism. ‘Richmond braces for white supremacist militia at gun rally!’ according to a website called Raw Story.”

Tucker noted that Virginia’s Democratic governor Ralph Northam (a.k.a. – “Blackface Northam) had declared a fake state of emergency and banned lawful gun owners from carrying their firearms to prepare for what he and the media promised would be a violent “white supremacist” rally.

In reality, the rally was peaceful and calm.

“[The media screeched] ‘State of emergency! White supremacists!!’ Keep in mind that the protesters were protesting a governor who has admitted to wearing a racist costume. For their trouble, they were denounced as bigots.

NBC News reporter Ben Collins described it as “a white nationalist rally.” They could play into “Neo-nazi hands. That’s what you get for protesting. You are a “neo-Nazi’.

Carlson said the media was fear-mongering to gaslight the public into believing that lawful gun owners are all white supremacist terrorists in order to promote their ultimate goal, which is gun confiscation.

“Let’s be honest: Do you really think NBC feared violence in Richmond?” Carlson asked. “Or is it possible that some in the media looked forward to the prospect of it? What better than a violent protest to justify gun confiscation? Some of the press already have tomorrow’s press columns pre-written. That’s how dishonest they are. Thankfully, nothing happened.”

“Thousands of law-abiding gun owners did what they usually do: They abided by the law. It was reduced to mentioning that thousands of attendees were cheering ‘fiery speeches.’

Honestly, who is really surprised that it all turned out fine? Every year, the March for Life brings hundreds of thousands of highly impassioned activists to Washington. But when was the last time one of them torched a Starbucks? Let’s see. Never.

Why were they so sure that Richmond would ascend into violence? It’s projection. Whenever the Left accuses you of doing something, they are in fact enthusiastically doing it themselves. How many times have conservatives rioted? Again, zero times. And yet, violence and intimidation are common when anyone to the right of Joe Biden try to speak up.

Meanwhile, left-wing ‘protests’ routinely turn into riots. It’s pretty dishonest. But it’s also predictable. It never changes. The Left — always and everywhere — has the goal of increasing its own power while taking power away from you. It was designed to lay the groundwork restricting you of your Constitutional rights. A disarmed population is a helpless and dependent population.

“That’s why the Founders wrote the Second Amendment in the first place. They left no confusion about that and the Left knows it. That’s why they oppose the Second Amendment. It’s not about public safety. Please! These are the same people opening our borders and emptying our prisons. They don’t care about public safety. It’s about power and it’s only about power. Remember that.”

One America News host Jack Posobiec covered the Richmond rally and found that — contrary to the media narrative — the rally was peaceful, and attended by many black Americans who are lawful gun owners.

The media says these lawful gun owners are “white supremacists.”
