If being the target of an endless pursuit of impeachment is getting the President down, you’d never know it.
In classic Trump style, the President welcomed the Louisiana State University Tigers to the White House on Friday days after they ended a 15-0 season scoring an NCAA championship win in the Benz Superdome.
“Your football program has inspired countless fans across the country,” Trump said.
Trump took a short break to invite the team to take pictures behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and got a rise from the crowd when he brought up his impeachment and referred to himself as a “son of a bitch.”
“We’ll take pictures behind the Resolute Desk, it’s been there a long time. A lot of presidents, some good, some not so good. But you got a good one now — even though they’re trying to impeach the son of a bitch, can you believe that?”
Watch the hilarious moment below:
“This is a player-driven program, It’s about the men behind me and the men in front of me. You guys did it, you guys set out with a plan, last year Jan. 17 that you were going to win the National Championship. You never talked about it, you went about it through hard work and dedication and you did it and I’m so proud.”

Trump’s laid back and blunt demeanor not only seemed to score him points with some players in attendance, but it earned him heaps of accolades on social media for being a breath of fresh air.
I loved this. Our president is so personable and funnier than any comedian I know, he is a natural. I think some of those young LSU men who may have come in with a certain opinion of @realDonaldTrump left with a different and good one. Maybe even picked up a few votes. #LSUChamps

No, he didn’t, yes he did! He said they’re trying to impeach the son of a bitch. My president, never PC!

Love him! So real and not full of political double talk! That’s why he has such an awesome base!

The players’ reactions were analyzed on social media as there appeared to be a little bit of awkwardness.
The moment was spun by a few on the left who tried to turn it into something negative. Vox journalist Aaron Rupar wasn’t feeling the fun and accused Trump of using the moment like a rally. (Of course, this was an amazing scene but not even close to being big enough for a Trump rally. Bernie, maybe.)
Trump ends LSU event by turning it into a rally: “You got a good [POTUS] now – even though they’re trying to impeach the son of a bitch! Can you believe that?… we took out those terrorists like your football team would’ve taken out those terrorists!”

While assuming what was going on in the minds of the players is clearly subjective, some players appear as if they’re uncomfortable because they look like they want to laugh and relax. But perhaps they’re afraid they’ll be singled out like this if they do:

Just awful.
