Of all the idiotic accusations leveled against President Donald Trump in response to the decision to take out a man readily identified as the most dangerous terrorist in the world is that the president did so to distract from impeachment.
Among those pushing the narrative is Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who said it’s “reasonable” to ask whether the president ordered Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s killing to distract from his pending Senate impeachment trial — you know, the trial Trump is itching to get started because he’s confident he will be exonerated.
It instructional to note that Warren opts to refer to the terrorist general as a “high-ranking official for the government of Iran.”
The president’s 36-year-old son, Eric Trump, appeared Tuesday night on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” to say the distraction claim by Democrats was ironic.
Host Laura Ingraham set Trump up by noting that Democrats are actually accusing his father of using the Soleimani strike “as a wag the dog situation,” before running a montage supporting the claim.
“Don’t you find the word distraction so ironic?” Trump replied. “The only thing the Democrats have been trying to do is distract, whether it be the Russia investigation, the impeachment hoax. Everything else they do.”
He went on to say that the country has “the greatest economy we’ve ever seen,” citing the economy, low unemployment, and the “best consumer confidence.”
“It is so ironic that now they are the ones coming out and saying, somebody is trying to distract,” Trump said. “If there’s one party that’s trying to distract, it is the Democrats, who haven’t been focused on a single thing other than impeaching my father for the past three years.”
“This country is doing great, my father is doing great,” he continued. “He is projecting strength around the world. We have the best economy. Listen, we are the pride of this world right now and people are jealous of the U.S. and America is back. I’m very proud that he is in that seat, he’s doing a great job for this nation.”
Speaking of distractions, the deranged Trump-hating husband of Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, took things a step further to claim the president “started a war because he was impeached.”
Mr. Kellyanne Conway, aka George, launched an online rant in a transparent attempt to paint Trump as an evil madman who ordered the attack because it will help him get reelected.
Never mind that, outside of Democrats and Never Trumpers, no one in the world is complaining about Soleimani being killed

He let all sorts of transgressions by the Iranians go previously, and is perfectly happy to kowtow to evil foreign leaders (KJU, Putin), but suddenly, he chooses the option that the military thought too extreme to actually select, and then threatens to commit war crimes.
