President Trump criticized CNN’s parent company, AT&T, for not firing CNN’s management despite the left-wing cable network’s plunging ratings.
Trump tweeted: “Can’t believe [AT&T] keeps the management after yet another CNN ratings dive. Nobody watching, NO CREDIBILITY! Maybe they should make changes at AT&T?”
Trump did not name names, but it’s likely he was targeting CNN President Jeff Zucker, who openly despises the president.

Trump has previously slammed AT&T for not booting CNN executives despite the network’s nonstop stream of fake news that sometimes later gets debunked.

In June 2019, President Trump called for a boycott of AT&T to “force change” at CNN.
Trump tweeted at the time: “Just arrived in the United Kingdom. The only problem is that CNN is the primary source of news available from the U.S. After watching it for a short while, I turned it off. All negative & so much Fake News, very bad for U.S. Big ratings drop. Why doesn’t owner [AT&T] do something?”
AT&T acquired CNN as part of its $85 billion purchase of Time Warner in 2018.

The animosity between CNN and President Trump is no secret. Amazingly, Fox News crushes CNN every day even though CNN pays airports to broadcast its left-wing content.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed that CNN is paying multiple airports $100,000 each to “pump propaganda into America’s airports, holding its hapless travelers hostage.”
Carlson remarked: “It’s not something [the airports] would do willingly. Who would? Nobody watches [CNN]. It’s garbage! This service is likely costing CNN $5 million a year. But they do it anyway because what’s the value of propaganda?”
Conservative author Mark Steyn joked that CNN should have better ratings considering it has a captive audience at airports across America.
“They pay over $6 million to bother people, to hector people in airports,” Steyn said. “You know, for $6 million they could actually afford to buy ‘Murder She Wrote’ reruns. And then they might actually have a sporting chance at some ratings.”

Steyn then recounted his own tragic experience being forced to watch CNN at an airport on Dec. 18, 2019 — the day that the Democrat-led House of Representatives voted to impeach President Trump.
“I was at LAX yesterday while the anchors were talking about what a ‘sad, somber, solemn, sorrowful’ day it is,” Steyn recalled. “And people [at the airport] did look sad, somber, sorrowful, and solemn. But that was because they had been stuck at gate 59 watching Wolf Blitzer for four hours!”
The Democrats’ impeachment stunt is backfiring in spectacular fashion, both for the Democratic Party and left-wing networks like CNN that have made impeachment the focal point of its hourly “news” coverage.
Over Thanksgiving week holiday, CNN’s ratings tumbled to a three-year low during the network’s wall-to-wall coverage of the public impeachment hearings. During the prime-time hours from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1, CNN’s average viewership got steamrolled by Fox News:
- Fox News: 2.2 million viewers
- MSNBC: 1.3 million viewers
- CNN: 643,000 viewers.
It was CNN’s worst performance in three years and its worst turnout among the key demographic group (adults age 25-54) in more than five years. This underscores that even CNN’s leftist viewers are fed-up with impeachment coverage.
CNN ratings didn’t do any better over the Christmas holidays — the network got annihilated by rivals Fox News and MSNBC.
