Biden called ‘pervert,’ told ‘don’t touch kids … the truth’s going to come out’ at campaign stop

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s new Hampshire campaign event got off to an uncomfortable start.

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate was moments into his talk with voters in Milford on Sunday when he was interrupted by hecklers multiple times.

Accusing him of acting inappropriately with women and children, one man in the back of the room called Biden a “pervert” and shouted, “don’t touch kids!”

“This is not a Trump rally,” Biden fired back. “This is a democracy.”

“We don’t need another old white man running for president,” the man continued as he made his way out.

“I agree with you, man,” Biden quipped.

“You don’t touch kids ever again! Don’t touch kids, you pervert!” the man yelled.

He was no sooner out of the room when another heckler shouted, “The truth is going to come out, buddy!”

“I hope it does,” Biden responded as the woman began shouting “quid pro Joe.”

Some boos were heard from the crowd as she continued her chanting, leaving the room as Biden attempted to regain control of the event.

Another man in attendance had shouted at the 77-year-old Democrat about his business dealings in Ukraine, apparently referring to what President Trump had mentioned in his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which ultimately sparked the impeachment against him.

“I’ve released 21 years of my tax returns, your guy hasn’t released one,”  Biden responded to the protester, apparently assuming he was a Trump supporter.

“What’s he hiding?” he asked as audience members cheered.

As the man continued to yell out, someone in the crowd shouted back, “Shut up!” and Biden appealed for the crowd to “let him go,” adding, “he’s an idiot.”

He reiterated that “this is a democracy” and offered to speak with the man directly after the event. But he refused to address any of the issues the man was bringing up, choosing instead to insult him and declare, “this is what I talk about having to restore the soul of America.”

Biden has not made a good impression with the way he has dealt with challengers and those who demand answers at his campaign events. Earlier this month, he berated a man at a town hall in Iowa, calling him a “damn liar” after he confronted him about his son Hunter’s job at a Ukrainian gas company.

The town hall audience member told the former vice president that he “sent your son over there to get a job and work for a gas company that he had no experience for, absolutely nothing, in order to get access to the president,” adding. “You’re selling access to the president just like he was.”

“You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that,” Biden fired back, eventually challenging Merle Gorman to do push-ups. As it turned out, the 83-year-old was a Marine veteran who thought the Democratic presidential candidate had a “wet noodle for a backbone.”

Twitter users slammed Biden for his reactions on Sunday in New Hampshire.
