POTUS responds to Michael Moore’s prediction Trump would win election today

In July of 2016, far-left Hollywood producer Michael Moore predicted then-GOP nominee Donald Trump would win the 2016 presidential election.

Nearly four years later, the virulently anti-Trump celebrity has offered a similar prediction leading into the 2020 presidential election, and much to now-President Trump’s delight:

“If the vote were today, I believe, he would win the electoral states that he would need, because, living out there, I will tell you, his level of support has not gone down one inch,” Moore said in an interview Thursday with the far-left program “Democracy Now!”

“In fact, I’d say it’s even more rabid than it was before because they’re afraid now. They’re afraid he could lose because they watched his behavior. So they are voracious in their appetite for Donald Trump. That’s the bad news.”

Bad news for DEMOCRATS …

He added that the Democrats’ only hope is to eschew nominating a “moderate” like former Vice President Joe Biden in favor of a radical left-winger, i.e., the type that wants to spike taxes, abolish the private health care market, provide freebies to illegal aliens, etc.

“So, what we have to do is we have to make sure we don’t give them another Hillary Clinton to vote for,” he maintained. “The Democrats who are encouraging moderation, go to the center — you know, ‘Let’s not upset the angry white guys’ — that’s really what it is. You know, the voter they’re trying to convince — ‘That’s why we’ve got to have Biden.'”

For the record, Biden has dominated primary polls since the start of the election system. Moreover, he’s the only one who consistently beats Trump in general election polls.

There’s a slight difference between what Moore said in 2016 and what he’s saying now. During the 2016 election, he signaled that he at least understood why so many Americans, some of them working-class whites, were rooting for Trump.

“I know a lot of people in Michigan that are planning to vote for Trump and they don’t necessarily agree with him. They’re not racist or redneck, they’re actually pretty decent people …,” he said at the time in his 2016 documentary, “TrumpLand.”

“Whether Trump means it or not is kind of irrelevant because he’s saying the things to people who are hurting, and that’s why every beaten-down, nameless, forgotten working stiff who used to be part of what was called the middle class loves Trump.”

However, the anti-Trump Hollywood figure also insisted that these working-class Americans would come to regret their votes, as Trump would make their lives worse.

In reality, the opposite has come to pass, and the president’s free-market policies have spurred record-low unemployment and record-high wage gains, particularly for those at the lower end of the spectrum.

As The Wall Street Journal put it in a report Friday, “Wages for rank-and-file workers are rising at the quickest pace in more than a decade, even faster than for bosses, a sign that the labor market has tightened sufficiently to convey bigger increases to lower-paid employees.”

These are the facts.

But according to Moore, those white working-class Americans who still support Trump are “not good people” and ought to be purposefully avoided, never mind the booming economy.

“Two-thirds of all white guys voted for Trump,” he said in a Rolling Stone interview earlier in the week. “That means anytime you see three white guys walking at you, down the street toward you, two of them voted for Trump. You need to move over to the other sidewalk because these are not good people that are walking toward you. You should be afraid of them.”

Contrary to the president’s tweeted claim that “[n]obody ever said Michael was stupid,” it appears the anti-Trump producer is quite intellectually lacking because what he was said was glaringly racist and extraordinarily alienating.

In fact, if the Democrat Party adopts his strategy of insulting white people and throwing moderates under the bus, it’s guaranteed to lose “bigly” next year.

“Democrats in the country’s most pivotal general election battlegrounds prefer a moderate presidential nominee who would seek common ground with Republicans rather than pursue an ambitious, progressive agenda,” The New York Times confirmed after conducting a poll with Siena College just one month ago.

But Moore doesn’t appear to care. Like other radically far-left individuals — including those in the cognitively dissonant media — he appears to be wholly out-of-touch with the wider public. Instead, he seems to live in the same type of bubble inhabited by those who think Trump is Hitler and that Hallmark holiday films are “fascist propaganda” designed to cater to white nationalists …

The irony is that Moore is 100 percent accurate about Trump likely winning the 2020 election. Multiple election-prediction models, including those employed by Moody’s Analytics, all show the president easily winning reelection.

But unbeknownst to the Hollywood producer, his brand of clear-cut radicalism will likely only make the win that much easier. Thanks, Mike!
