Trump hilariously fires back at ‘Home Alone’ snub, adds a stinging zinger for ‘Justin T’

On Thursday word went viral that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had removed President Donald Trump from a broadcast of the classic 1992 film “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

Because of the CBC’s demonstrated left-wing bias, as well as the known facts concerning the omission — namely that the CBC has reportedly been removing Trump from the annual broadcast since at least 2015 — conservatives assumed Trump’s omission was rooted in politics.

This belief triggered outrage, including from the president’s son Donald Trump Jr., who retweeted BizPac Review’s coverage of the emerging “scandal,” if you will:

Hours later, around 7:00 pm EST, the president himself got in on the action by tweeting Florida news station WTVT’s report on the matter and adding his own biting criticism.

I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!” he wrote.

The suggestion was that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had played a role in forcing the president’s removal from “Home Alone 2.”

However, the “just kidding” tweet he posted moments later suggests he was just playing around.

“The movie will never be the same! (just kidding),” he added.

Look:

As someone with a sense of humor — which, oddly enough, seems to be in short supply on the left — it’s possible he really doesn’t care about the omission that much, especially given the latest facts surrounding this debacle.

As reported by BPR on Thursday, complaints about Trump’s omission have been circulating on social media since 2015. This led some to assume that the CBC cut the president from “Home Alone 2” after he announced his candidacy for office.

But the left-wing Canadian network has pushed back on this idea.

“As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format,” a spokesperson originally said in a statement to ComicBook.com on Christmas Day.

And then in an updated statement posted to Twitter on Thursday, the CBC claimed the edits were made in 2014, a year before the president announced his candidacy.

Look:

“These edits were done in 2014, when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected president,” the CBC spokesperson said, adding that a total of eight minutes were removed from the film.

While there appears to be no way to verify the former claim, the latter one can easily be corroborated thanks to old tweets on Twitter showing viewers complaining about other omissions from the 1992 classic, as first reported by CNN’s Daniel Dale:

Is this “scandal” therefore much ado about nothing? It appears so, though, in fairness to those who assumed the worst, the CBC does seem to boast a disturbing left-wing bias.

Two years ago, the network hired an actor to portray a Trump supporter selling white power t-shirts on the streets. No joke!

Watch:

That was a blatant smear of the president and his supporters, many of whom happen to be non-white minorities. There’s simply no excuse for the stunt, though according to the CBC, there is a valid excuse for Trump’s omission from “Home Alone 2” …

Assuming you believe the network’s claim, that is. Do you?

Some certainly don’t:
