CNN host left speechless when constitutional attorney supports her claim that ‘Dems hate America’

Trump 2020 legal adviser and constitutional law attorney Jenna Ellis drew the ire of the left for a remark she made about Democrats and their obsession with impeaching President Donald Trump during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“‘We hate Trump because we hate the American people and we hate our Constitution,’ that’s all they’re after,” Ellis opined last week on the show.

She was invited on CNN and asked by anchor Victor Blackwell about what she said — the problem being Blackwell didn’t quite know what he was getting into, because not only did Ellis stand by her words, she effectively proved them right!

“I want to get some clarification, I want you to expound on something you said last night,” Blackwell said on Saturday, before playing a clip of her remark.

“Listen, you’re obviously a fan of the president. You think he’s doing great work and you’ve got a case to make,” he said. “But what do you have or know that justifies that Democrats hate America and hate the Constitution?”

Ellis said “that was in the context of the Democratic candidates who are running for president and running on extreme socialist agendas, antithetical to our constitution, our standards of liberty and the fact that our government is obligated constitutionally to preserve and protect our limited rights that are pre-political and come from God, our creator, not from our government.

“So when I say that Democrats hate America, it’s that they hate our American values,” she continued. “They don’t want to protect the standards of freedom and liberty, and certainly both the Democratic candidates, as well as Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic majority in the House, are not abiding by our Constitution.

“Going back to the question of impeachment, they are impeaching President Trump merely because they hate him. Because there is absolutely no standard by which they have passed these articles [of impeachment] that would pass legal muster and that’s why a motion to dismiss would be constitutionally proper.”

Ellis said “there’s absolutely no evidence that has been shown” to support articles of impeachment and it’s on the House to prove its case.

“Democrats hate America and hate the Constitution,” Blackwell said, repeating Ellis’ assertion. “I did not know that you would attempt to defend that, but you did.”

The CNN anchor would then bring the segment to a close without further comment.

Social media users loved seeing Blackwell left “speechless,” and equally loved how eloquently Ellis made her case by serving up “concise reasoning”.
