With the Democrat Party tearing at the very fabric of American society with its partisan impeachment efforts, using the institution of government in the furtherance of political aspirations, with a heavy assist from the media, the residual effects are being felt.

This was evident Saturday evening when a pro-Trump women’s group encountered an angry wedding party of apparent Democrats at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The historic luxury hotel is two blocks from the White House and members of Women for America First were allegedly harassed and attacked by members of a wedding party while holding a private event at the hotel, according to the pro-Trump organization.

A social media user posted a photo of police at the hotel Saturday evening, along with the caption: “Because sometimes even really well-dressed super rich people just can’t get along nicely….at a wedding….at The Willard!”

Jonathan Gilliam, a former Navy SEAL, was a guest speaker at the WFAF event, and was reportedly attacked by a group of 4-6 men and injured during the ensuing melee.

Gilliam posted a statement on Twitter calling the attackers “Trump-haters,” and said hotel security was lacking.

The former Navy SEAL tweeted: “Saturday night at the Willard Hotel in Washington DC, I attended @america1stwomen (WFAF) gala, speaking in support of our president @realDonaldTrump and the strength of all free women of the United States.

“Unfortunately, due to the harassment from Trump haters from an adjacent ball room, and lack of hotel security involvement, an event occurred when myself and others were escorting WFAF women out of the venue. I’m ok, but the future of this country is not!”

A social media user who said she was one of the guests being escorted by Gilliam took to Twitter to say the vet was attacked by “many men.”

Women for America First, run by Amy Kremer, a longtime grassroots conservative activist, released a detailed statement on what went down, from their perspective.

“Our event on Saturday evening was rudely disrupted when attendees from a high-profile democrat wedding in the adjacent ballroom repeatedly stalked, harassed, and both verbally and ultimately physically attacked our guests,” the release said.

Noting that their private event was interrupted “at least 30 different occasions,” the group said its members were “verbally assaulted with comments such as “you should be ashamed of yourselves”, “MAGA Trash”, “Nazis” and “C*nts.”

The statement identified the “alleged best man” at the wedding as a chief instigator, saying he was blocking people from getting on an elevator and eventually confronted Gilliam, who was trying to escort guests out of the event via a stairwell.

“Jonathan was physically attacked by approximately 4-6 other attendees of the wedding party who piled on attempting to choke and beat him, before he was able to break free and counter the attack,” the statement added.

According to WFAF, Metro DC police responded to the assault and the alleged best man was arrested.

A tweet from citizen journalist Ann Vandersteel included a photo of some of those in the “deranged TDS afflicted” wedding party, to include a man in a red tie, who she said was arrested.

“It is absolutely deplorable to be attacked by self-appointed “DC elites” at a private event in one of DC’s most prestigious hotels, located across the street from the White House, for no other reason than that we support President Donald J. Trump.” WFAF concluded. “Sadly, attacks on Trump supporters are commonplace in public; but to have this experience at a private event paid for by our organization is simply beyond the pale and exposes the lengths the left will go to silence and marginalize those who support this president.”

Tracy Beanz, editor-in-chief at Uncover DC, tweeted about the “all out brawl,” and said there were “several high profile democrats at the wedding.”

She later tweeted that the groom at the wedding was Dennis O’Brien, the Director of Operations for the Boeing Company’s Government Operations office in Washington, D.C.

While there’s nothing to suggest that O’Brien was involved in the altercations, he has an extensive history of involvement with the Democratic Party, to include working at the Democratic National Committee as an aide to then-Chairman Terry McAuliffe.

Vandersteel also shared a photo of a woman who she said accosted a WFAF member in the restroom, allegedly calling her “MAGA trash.”
