On Saturday, President Trump slashed and burned multiple media outlets in a Twitter tirade that began with a post criticizing Fox News for interviews scheduled for Sunday with two of his most bitter nemeses, House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff and former FBI Director James Comey.

“Hard to believe that @FoxNews will be interviewing sleazebag & totally discredited former FBI Director James Comey, & also corrupt politician Adam “Shifty” Schiff,” the President wrote. “Fox is trying sooo hard to be politically correct, and yet they were totally shut out from the failed Dem debates!”

In a follow-up tweet, he skewered “Commiecast MSNBC & Fake News CNN” for their feeble ratings performances …

In that second tweet, Trump pointed out CNN anchor Chris “Fredo” Cuomo’s numbers are in a nosedive, as well as called out distant memory Shep Smith who resigned from Fox News in October with “the lowest-rated show” on the conservative network.

Smith was one of a handful of anti-Trumpers on Fox News, and Trump was happy to point out that his ratings showed that …

Comey and Schiff will sit with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace for separate interviews. Wallace has become the clear anti-Trump leader in the Fox stable now with Smith put out to pasture. Last week, Wallace claimed the president is responsible for the “most sustained assault on freedom of the press in our history.”

President Trump does not hesitate to blast Fox News when they broadcast opinions and personalities critical of his administration and policies. The network’s programming is mostly supportive of the president, and as a result, has been the top dog in TV news ratings for several years running.

“Only pro Trump Fox shows do well,” Trump boasted in his Saturday tweet. “Rest are nothing,”

“Fox News Sunday” will air starting at 9 am Eastern. Chances are, viewership numbers will be dismal, but it seems quite likely the show will be tuned in the Oval Office, and the @realDonaldTrump Twitter account will counter with some entertaining commentary.

Comey tweeted a preview of his interview early this week, when he wrote: “So it was all lies. No treason. No spying on the campaign. No tapping Trumps wires. It was just good people trying to protect America.”

Meanwhile, a new T-shirt design is born, destined to go viral …
