The day’s political news came to a standstill on Tuesday when gunfire rang out on Jersey City, NJ streets.
Various videos and information poured onto Twitter claiming at least one officer was shot in the head when two gunmen (one reportedly may be a woman) began to fire indiscriminately from a nearby bodega.

There was a media presence, even though they were reportedly told to leave the area. Local residents also recorded the scene as people were told to remain indoors.

Fox News Channel’s Harris Faulkner reported a suspicious ‘coffee pot’ was seen where the suspects were reportedly barricaded. The item may be an “IED” and improvised explosive device. SWAT armored vehicles also arrived at the scene.

The scene is near the Bay View Cemetery and remains an active situation.
