Trump at 52%! Impeachment continues to implode, Dems in swing states could be hardest hit.

A handful of new polls spell bad news for Democrats and great news for President Donald Trump.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday, December 5, shows a 52 percent approval rating for Trump’s job performance. Considering Democrats have spent years accusing Trump of election fraud and bribery, that number is much higher than it should be if even a fraction of what they are saying is true.

The Rasmussen poll also shows 38 percent of voters “strongly approve” of Trump’s job performance in the White House. Rasmussen’s daily presidential polls are gathered through a mixture of online and telephone surveys.

If that poll wasn’t bad enough for Democrats — who are continuing their dog and pony show impeachment hearings — other polls show that impeachment is not gaining much traction in key election swing states.

A dozen polls from Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin show that 51 percent of voters oppose impeachment, while 44 percent approve. While these numbers should already be a red flag for Democrats, who are convinced they have proven bribery despite presenting no evidence or firsthand accounts, what should be more concerning for Dems is those numbers reflect even worse support for impeachment than national polls.

According to a report from The Washington Post, the average of national polls finds 47 percent of voters in support of impeachment and 43 percent in opposition. This means there is less support for impeachment in key swing states, which is bad news for Democrats, especially on the cusp of an election year.

Adding insult to injury for Democrats and their impeachment effort, Hot Air reported that since Saturday, people have been more interested in Googling “Peloton,” an exercise bike with an ad that has triggered leftists, than “impeachment.”

Again, this is bad news considering Democrats have been so solely focused on impeachment. Even with hearings moving to the House Judiciary Committee, Dems have still been unable to give any real energy or weight to the proceedings.

Wednesday’s hearings included putting cameras on a handful of anti-Trump law professors who gave extremely biased views of a case where there have been zero firsthand accounts of the devious deeds that allegedly took place, and no real evidence presented.

Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University Law School who also testified in the Bill Clinton impeachment case, was a breath of fresh air at Wednesday’s hearing. While admitting that he is not a supporter of the president, Turley blasted the current impeachment inquiry as “dangerous” and called the legal case against the president “woefully inadequate.”

“President Trump will not be our last president and what we leave in the wake of this scandal will shape our democracy for generations to come,” Turley said during his opening testimony. “I’m concerned about lowering impeachment standards to fit a paucity of evidence and an abundance of anger.”
